En revanche, il m’aura fallu treize ans pour comprendre comment ces trois pratiques allaient converger vers un projet de recherche-création au sein d’un laboratoire de recherche en France. Quant à la musique, mes premières compositions ont pris forme vers l’année 2007 sous forme de chansons que j’écrivais, composais et interprétais en chantant et jouant du setâr. -

61 In this book, the author has given the Hfe sketch of the distinguish personahties, who supported the AUgarh Movement and made efforts for the betterment of the MusHm Community. The author highlighting the importance of the Aligarh Muslim University said that "it is the most prestigious intellectual and cultural centre of Indian Muslims". He also explained in this book that Hindus easily adopted the western education. As for Hindus, the advent of the Britishers and their emergence as the rulers were just a matter of change from one master to another. For them, the Britishers and Muslims were both conquerors. But for the Muslims it was a matter of becoming ruled instead of the ruler. Naqvi, Noorul Hasan (2001) wrote a book in Urdu entitled "Mohammadan College Se Muslim University Tak (From Mohammadan College to Muslim University)".^^ In this book he wrote in brief about the life and works of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, He gave a brief description about the supporters of Sir Syed and Aligarh Movement such as Mohsin-ul-Mulk, Viqar-ul-Mulk, Altaf Husain Hali, Maulana Shibli Nomani, Moulvi Samiullah Khan, Jutice Mahmud, Raja Jai Kishan Das and Maulvi ZakauUah Khan, etc. The author also wrote about the Aligarh Movement, the Freedom Movement and the educational planning of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. A historical development of AMU has also been made. The author has also given in brief about the life of some of the important benefactors of the university such as His Highness Sir Agha Khan, Her Majestry Nawab Sultan Jahan Begum, His Holiness Maharaja Mohammad Ali Khan of . -

Conflict, Transition, and Hesitant Resolution: A Survey Of Urdu Literature, 1850-1975 by Shamsur Rahman Faruqi [Note: the definitive version of this article was published in K. M. George, ed., Modern Indian Literature--An Anthology; Volume One: Surveys and Poems (New Delhi: Sahitya Akademi, 1992), pp. 420-442.] For much of North India, the world changed twice in 1857. It first changed in May, when columns of Company soldiers marched into Delhi and proclaimed the end of Company Bahadur's rule. The world changed again in September, by which time it was clear that the brief Indian summer of Indian rule was decisively over. If the first change was violent and disorderly, it was also fired by a desperate hope, and a burning anger. Anger had generated hope--hope that the supercilious and brutal foreigner, who understood so little of Indian values and Indian culture, could still be driven out, that he was not a supernatural force, or an irrevocable curse on the land of Hindustan. The events of 1857-1858 drove the anger underground, and destroyed the hope. The defeat, dispersal, and death of the rebels signalled the end of an age, and the ushering in of a new order. It was an order which was essentially established by force, but which sought to legitimate itself on the grounds of moral superiority. It claimed that its physical supremacy resulted from its superior intellectual apparatus and ethical code, rather than merely from an advantage in numbers or resources. It was thus quite natural for the English to try to change Indian society from both the inside and outside. -
