13 14 MITTED RAGDOLL SOP CHANGES

After some time and many discussions the SOP for the Mitted cats has been amended please see the additions in red below

This was to help support more Mitted cats being shown with a hope to splitting the shows into separate Colour point, Mitted and Bi Colour Classes.

Mitted SOP The colour of the points (mask, ears, legs and tail to be well defined (except in kittens). On reaching maturity the mask covers the entire face including whisker pads and is con- nected to the ears by tracings. A narrow white blaze on the nose is permitted. The chin, bib and chest are white as is the underbody from chest to tail. The two front paws will have white mittens that are evenly matched preferably extending to the angle formed by the paw and the leg. The back legs should be white to a minimum level of the hock but preferably up to a level of the underbody but allowance may be made for a small spot of colour on the hocks. Paw pads should be pink.

15 A TENTATIVE STEP INTO THE WORLD OF PEDIGREE PET

WRITTEN BY ‘BELLA’ AKA DIZZIPAWS FRANCESCA that’s right, I live the fabulous and glamorous life of a show cat these days! Yes I can hear your whiskers twitching as you question how this is possible with my unique ear birth mark, well guess what!? This does not matter in the world of Pedigree Pet! Imagine my surprise the day my mama opened a gift from nana Julie of a white litter tray, bowl and blanket, something I must say I thought was purrfectly crazy, white! Really! Anyway I soon realised that my mama had a plan. Now, for all you fluffs out there young and old, it is never to early or late to Hi fellow fluffy friends! try this wonderful world. My mama was very nervous, much more nervous than me about leaving me Firstly, I would like to introduce and she worried that I would not myself, my name is Dizzipaws settle. I am proud to say I was fine, Francesca, but my friends call me as for her….well….jibbering and Bella, and I am all grown up as I fretting, but that is these hoomans for turned 3 in July. After such exertion I needed a nap. Around the hooman lunch time mama comes back and acts like I have been away on holiday for a month, now as over dramatic as this is, the number of extra treats I received made tolerating it worthwhile. Now here comes the amazing bit, I was placd second and received a beautiful blue rosette which I am very very proud of, I also got four red pieces of paper which mama tells me is good. Now, this was my first taste of stardom and I have to say I highly recommend it. I had a wonderful day and it has led me to attend a further 12 shows and receive my Imperial Master Cat title! I am so very proud of this as I only started eighteen months ago and now I am competing for Olympian Bronze! If any of you wish to discuss the tips and tricks of the trade and I am purrfectly happy to advise anyone wishing to try the wonderful world of Pedigree Pets. Do not be put off by a little mismark here or there, Pedigree Pets is the best as it considers our purrsonalities and therefore making us all winners! Keep those whiskers twitching. Love and Bella

Every year the club offers rosette for the cats with the highest points of each section that can be seen in bold writing. Then the cat with the highest overall points from these sections will be crowned PRBCC RAGDOLL OF THE YEAR and the breeder with the most points with cats bred by them (cats don’t have to be in breeders ownership) is awarded PRBCC BREEDER OF THE YEAR. The Rosettes have been sponsored by Myself for the last few years but should we get more entries then we can offer extra rosettes for the sections not in bold, at this point the club will hopefully take over supplying the rosettes. As you can see there are many spaces left empty so can I please ask that members send in any show points forms they could have especially for mitted cats and neuters across all varieties and of course please let’s not forget the pet section. Show points form can be on our website When filling in the form please choose your 10 best shows that give your cat the most advantage. These shows must run between 1st October of the previous year (2018) up to 30th September 2019.
