In our folder “Advent in Tennengau”, you will find numerou s Advent festivities, Christmas markets, Krampus parades and midnight masses.

This folder is available at the Golling Tourist Office.

CHRISTMAS IN SALZBURG The Salzburg Christkindlmarkt in the heart of the Old City is one of the world’s oldest Christmas ma r- kets. “Salzburg Advent Singing” has been captivating visitors from around the world for more than 60 years. And numerous heritage events also help pass the time delightfully, as you wa it for the Christkind – or Santa Claus – to arrive.

The historic Salzburg Christkindlmarkt on Cathedral and Residenzplatz squares has been in existence since the late 15th century – which makes it, not only one of the most beautiful, but also one of the oldest Christmas markets in Europe.

Hellbrunn Advent Magic, set against the backdrop of magnificent Hellbrunn Palace, is especially roma n- tic and festive. But in addition to this there are other smaller Advent markets, on Mirabell Square, at St. Pe ter’s Abbey as well as up at Hohensalzburg Fortress. As different as these Advent markets are, they all have one thing in common: They are all definitely worth a visit!
