Stipe up to 4.1 x 0.2 cm in size, distinctly bulbous, yellowish while: (4A2), Fructification up to 5.5 cm in height. Pileus up to annulate, annulus free below, movable in some carpo­ 2.5 cm broad, conical, margin regular, surface orange phores. Spores 5.7-8.5 x 3-4 /mi, ovoid, double white: (5A2) with brown patches in the centre, turns walled, apiculus indistinct, deposit dark brown; darker when bruised. Taste peppery. Lamellae (7F4). Basidia 13-15.6 x 4-5.6 ;<m, 2-4 spored; broadly adnate, subdistant, unequal, brownish grey: sterigmata up to 1.4 /<m long. PleuroOystidia absent; (6E2) edges smooth. Stipe 5.4 x 0.3 cm in size, dis­ cheilocystidia 21.3-35.5 x 5.7-10 ;<m, clavale, scat­ tinctly bulbous, brownish grey: (6C2) above and tered. Pileus cuticle cellular, 40-46.6 fim thick, com­ brownish orange; (6C5) below, solid. Spores 12.8-17 posed of 10-23.3 fim broad versil'orm elements; X 7-8.5 fiin, ellipsoidal with apical pot';, deposit context homoiomerous. Hymenophoral trama paral­ purplish grey; (14F2). Basidia 24-28.4 x lC-11.4;<ni, lel; subhymenium up to 22.7 fxm thick, cellular. Stipe (2)-4spored;.sterigmata up to 4.3//m long. Plturocys- cuticle hyphal. Mycosphere 6(1), 19–42, Doi 10.5943/mycosphere/6/1/4 Abstract A study of diversity of coprophilous species of Conocybe was carried out in Punjab state of India during the years 2007 to 2011. This research paper represents 22 collections belonging to 16 Conocybe species growing on five diverse dung types. The species include Conocybe albipes, C. apala, C. brachypodii, C. crispa, C. fuscimarginata, C. lenticulospora, C. leucopus, C. magnicapitata, C. microrrhiza var. coprophila var. nov., C. moseri, C. rickenii, C. subpubescens, C. subxerophytica var. subxerophytica, C. subxerophytica var. brunnea, C. uralensis and C. velutipes. For all these taxa, dung types on which they were found growing are mentioned and their distinctive characters are described and compared with similar taxa along with a key for their identification. The taxonomy of ten taxa is discussed along with the drawings of morphological and anatomical features. Conocybe microrrhiza var. coprophila is proposed as a new variety. As many as six taxa, namely C. albipes, C. fuscimarginata, C. lenticulospora, C. leucopus, C. moseri and C.

Seasonal distribution, habitat and resource preferences are discussed. Keywords: Fungi, ecology, biodiversity, conservation, grassland INTRODUCTION Hedger & George (2004) published a list of 108 taxa of fungi found on Lundy during a five-day survey carried out in October 2003. They also included in this paper the records of 95 species of fungi made from 1970 onwards, mostly abstracted from the Annual Reports of the Lundy Field Society, and found that their own survey had added 70 additional records, giving a total of 156 taxa. They concluded that further surveys would undoubtedly add to the database, especially since the autumn of 2003 had been exceptionally dry, and as a consequence the fruiting of the larger fleshy fungi on Lundy, especially the grassland species, had been very poor, resulting in under-recording. Further five-day surveys were therefore carried out each year from 2004-08, three in the autumn, 8-12 November 2004, 4-9 November 2007, 3-11 November 2008, one in winter, 23-27 January 2006 and one in spring, 9-16 April 2005.

One hundred and one records for habitat/host/substrate are new for Greece, while some of these associations are reported for the first time in literature. Key words — biodiversity, macromycetes, fir, Mediterranean region, mushrooms Introduction The mycobiota of Greece was until recently poorly investigated since very few mycologists were active in the fields of fungal biodiversity, taxonomy and systematic. Until the end of ’90s, less than 1.000 species of macromycetes occurring in Greece had been reported by Greek and foreign researchers. Practically no collaboration existed between the scientific community and the rather few amateurs, who were active in this domain, and thus useful information that could be accumulated remained unexploited. Until then, published data were fragmentary in spatial, temporal and ecological terms. The authors introduced a different concept in their methodology, which was based on a long-term investigation of selected ecosystems and monitoring-inventorying of macrofungi throughout the year and for a period of usually 5-8 years.

This work is the successor to a recent monograph on coprophilous ascomycetes and basidiomycetes from Italy. All Italian identifications of coprophilous Agaricales, which the author has personally studied over an 18 year period, are listed and categorized depending on the dung source. All collections were subjected to the same procedure and incubated in damp chambers and an estimate of occurrence of fungal species on various dung types is made. A second collection of Coprinus doverii is described and discussed, while the southern most finding of Panaeolus alcis is listed. An additional collection of Psilocybe subcoprophila, a species previously reported from Italy, is described and illustrated with colour photomicrographs. The morphological features of each species is briefly described, and substrate preferences compared with those reported from previous data. MORENO (*) RESUMEN: Se estudian macro y microscópicamente tres especies del género Conocybe Fayod, reco- lectadas en ambientes artificiales (jardines) en Madrid, son: C. cylindracea Maire & Kühner ex Sing., C. lactea (Lange) Métrod y C. rickenii (J. Schdeffer)Kühner, de los cuales la primera es- pecie solo se conoce actualmente del Norte de Africa (Marruecos), y la última citada en Eu- ropa es nueva para el Catálogo micológico español. SUMMARY: Three species of the Conocybe Fayod genus were studied macro and microscopically. They were collected in artificial Madrid environments (gardens) and we found that they be. long to the following species: C. glindracea, C. lactea, C. rickenii. The first one has only been described on Norther Africa (Maroc), and the last one, has al ready been described in Euro- pe, but it is a new specie for the Spanish mycological catalogue. INTRODUCCION El género Conocybe Fayod, Prodrome Ann. Sc. Nat. Bot. 7 (9): 357, (1889), agru- pa a pequeñas especies encuadradas en la Familia Bolbitiaceae Sing. Pap. Mich. Acad. Sc. Arts. Lett. 32: 147 (1948), que presentan la cutícula formada por células piriformes a claviformes, entre las que es frecuente observar pileocistidios o células diferentes morfológicamente, alargadas, capitadas o no. Las láminas no poseen es- trato medio y sin embargo tienen el subhimenio bien desarrollado, presentan cisti- dios faciales y marginales generales capitados. Ecológicamente se presentan algunas especies de este género como coprófilas, Moreno (1976), Moreno y Barrasa (1977) o bien viviendo sobre restos de plantas herbáceas, comportándose la gran mayoría como pratícolas, Kiihner (1935), Singer (1975), algunas son muy raramente lignícolas Kiihner-Romagnesi (1953).

Introduction The studies on Turkish mycota have been carried out for more than one hundred years (Solak et al., 2015) and nearly 2400 macrofungi species have been documented in the checklists of Turkey (Solak et al., 2007; Sesli and Denchev 2008; Acar et al. 2015; Sesli et al., 2015; Solak et al., 2015; Akata et al. 2016; Doğan and Kurt 2016; Sesli et al. 2016). However, Turkish mycota have not yet been fully determined, and new macrofungi records and checklists of some limited areas have also been published by several researchers as a consequence of routine field and laboratory studies. Prior to this study, Kütahya province was the one of the areas in which macrofungi biodiversity was not determined.

Miller Jr. Department of Biology (ABSTRACT) The Crepidotaceae (Imai) Singer (Basidiomycetes: Agaricales) represents a proposed family of saprophytic fungi containing five agaricoid (Crepidotus, Tubaria, Melanomphalia, Simocybe, Pleurotellus) and four cyphelloid (Episphaeria, Phaeosolenia, Pellidiscus, Chromocyphella) genera. Several contemporary classification systems exist that delegate some or all of these genera to other agaric families. Phylogenetic relationships for the most prevalent genera in the Crepidotaceae were investigated using nuclear large subunit ribosomal DNA (LSU rDNA) sequences.
