Please be advised of the following:following

Category 1 - US Direct Guests US Direct guests will be considered "in-transit" from their originating U.S. gateway through the Vancouver International Airport to the ship. Category 2 - Standard Immigration Guest Clearance It is a requirement of the United States and Border Protection agency that all "Non-US Direct" guests departing Vancouver with a first stop in a U.S. port of call be pre-cleared for entry into the United States prior to boarding the ship.

- Staffing limitations of Customs and Border Protection agency prevents officer arrival at the piers in Vancouver prior to 12:00 noon.

- We recommend consideration of this 12:00 noon limitation in your plans for pier arrival timing.

- To help expedite thisUnited States Customs and Border Protection pre-clearance process, weSTRONGLY RECOMMEND that all United States Citizens and Canadian Citizens use a Passport for proof of citizenship. Usage of passports for all other nationalities remains a requirement.

19 General Information

Introduction This brochure contains brief descriptions of excursions available both during your cruise and Alaska cruisetour. Please book your excursions as soon as possible since certain excursions can accommodate only a limited number of participants. We recommend that you purchase them in advance of your vacation in order to avoid disappointment.

Activity Level The Excursions presented in this brochure require the guest to use a motor coach or other forms of transportation which will require the guest to step up 2 to 3 steps, approximately 10 inches high each. Most (but not all) coaches used can accommodate collapsible wheelchairs. However, it should be noted that escorts, drivers, guides, and shipboard staff are not obliged to lift guests into the vehicles. Lift-vans and/or coaches are not available in all destinations. Tendering may preclude guests in wheelchairs from going ashore at certain ports of call. For further information, please check with the Shore Excursion desk on board or with your Alaska cruisetour tour director immediately upon arrival.

Certain excursions such as Kayaking, Bicycling, Canoeing, River or Lake Rafting, Hiking, and Flightseeing have inherent risks of which participants should make themselves aware of before making a valued judgment as to whether to participate in them. In all cases participants should be in excellent health.

To assist our guests in choosing their excursions, all excursions have been graded accordingly to the level of activity they entail. Please refer to the excursion symbols(s), which appear in each excursion description. Kindly note the below symbols act only as a guideline and guests must make their own judgment regarding participating in tours. The symbols represent the following:

Mild To fully participate may require leisurely walking over primarily even surfaces. There may be a limited number of steps, a minimal amount of cobblestones or uneven surfaces, and some standing for extended periods of time.

Moderate To fully participate may require extended periods of walking over even and uneven surfaces, steep terrain and/or water activity in a slight current. There may be steps, inclines, cobblestone surfaces, and extended periods of standing. Participants with physical limitations should take this into account.

Strenuous To fully participate may require extended periods of physical exertion, extensive walking, climbing, or biking. There may be numerous steps, inclines, cobblestones, and other rough terrain throughout the excursion. These excursions are the most active and have been designed for participants in excellent health and very good physical condition.

20 Light Snack / Refreshment If a light snack or refreshment is served on an excursion, it will be designated with this symbol.

Meals Most tour departures complement the ship’s meal service hours. If a meal is served on an excursion, it will be designated with this symbol.

Shopping Time permitting, limited shopping is available during the tour.

Waiver All participants on this tour are required to complete a waiver and/or release form. This document will be distributed by the tour operator prior to commencing the tour.

Xpedition Celebrity Xpeditions shore excursions are once in a lifetime experiences consisting of rare opportunities, exotic locations, or special events all designed to treat you famously in ways you never imagined.

Restrictions Please note there are certain excursions that for safety reasons, age, weight and/or height restrictions apply. These restrictions are imposed by the individual vendor and Celebrity Cruises Inc. must comply accordingly.

Tour Availability Please note that not all excursions are available on all ships or Alaska cruisetour packages. Excursion prices and itineraries are in effect at the time of printing and are subject to change without notice.

Weather Alaska is subject to variable weather that may change rather quickly from warm and sunny to chilly and wet. All excursions will operate rain or shine, with the exception of flightseeing tours and some water activities, which may have to be canceled for safety reasons. However, Full refunds will be made to guests holding tickets for canceled shore excursions. In the event of an excursion cancellation, every effort will be made to accommodate guests on other available excursions.

What to Wear We suggest you dress in layers: a shirt, sweater and light raincoat should suffice. A comfortable pair of walking shoes treated for water resistance is highly recommended.

Children’s Pricing Unless indicated, children’s pricing is valid for children 12 and under. Guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

21 General Information When choosing an excursion please remember that the ‘‘season’’ in Alaska lasts approximately five months at best. In this time the local operators have to utilize their equipment in the most expedient manner. There is only a limited amount of equipment available on many excursions, including helicopters and planes, great distances are covered and space is severely restricted. For these reasons you may find some excursions are fairly expensive. Also, remember that certain excursions are multifaceted and may include flightseeing, lunch, and sightseeing combinations.

Wildlife Various species of wildlife are prevalent in a specific area at certain periods during the summer. Although Alaskan wildlife is abundant, Celebrity Cruises cannot guarantee any wildlife sightings on any of the excursions offered.

Sport Fishing Please note that once the participation figures have been sent to the operator (minimum of 24 hours before arrival) no refunds will be granted in cases where guests decide not to utilize the service for whatever reason. Provided are tackle, bait, and beverages, but only good luck and your skill can supply the fish.

Helicopter Weight Requirements Due to weight restrictions on board helicopters, all participants must register their body weight at the time of booking. This is a requirement of the helicopter companies to ensure guests safety and comfort.

What To Know

SHORE EXCURSION OFFICE: Desk hours will be announced on board in the ship’s Daily Program. Normally, the office will be closed while the vessel is in port, unless otherwise stated.

TIMES OF TOURS COMMENCEMENT will be published on board. In the interest of all concerned, please be punctual to the meeting points. Guests wishing to travel with friends should proceed to the point of departure as indicated on your shore excursion tickets, as this will help the tour staff to allocate space in the same vehicle.

EXCURSION TIMINGS: Most morning excursions will meet in a lounge on board the ship. When the ship is at anchor, staff will be on hand to assist you to the departure point. Timings have been established according to information received from our Agents but are subject to alterations should the vessel’s arrival time at the port be delayed or circumstances arise whereby the itinerary for a particular excursion must, necessarily, be amended. Kindly note that excursion times provided online may be earlier than the vessel’s scheduled arrival to a port of call. The time listed may be in local time as provided by the tour operator. Fine Art of Cruising

Carefree cruising with a flair for style, on board and ashore. On a Celebrity vacation, that is an art easily mastered with a few simple suggestions. Consult this guide before your ship sails and you’ll be well-prepared with the right clothes for every occasion, your documents in order well in advance and your questions about money fully answered.

So wherever your destination—Alaska, Bermuda, Canada/New England, the Caribbean, Coastal California, Europe, Hawaii, Mexican Riviera, South America or Panama Canal—you’ll be ready to master the fine art of cruising…Celebrity style. 28 Fine Art of Cruising Fine Art of Cruising 29

Packing Smart

Relaxed elegance are the bywords for dress on board each of Celebrity Cruises’ ships. And though your own taste, interests and destinations will determine what you pack, keep in mind you’ll need three types of clothing: • Casual shipboard attire or “day wear” • Conservative apparel for sightseeing • Evening wear

Day Wear On the ship, when visiting our warmer ports of call, stylish resort wear is fine for both men and women: • Swimsuit and cover-up • Walking shorts and polo shirts • Lightweight slacks or skirts • A light sweater (for cooler days) Ashore, dress for comfort, but remember to observe local customs. In many ports, short-shorts, halter tops and provocative clothing are frowned upon. On Alaskan cruises, summer temperatures often soar into the 70s. But, be sure you pack: • Shirts and blouses • Slacks or pants • Sweaters for cooler days • Lightweight windbreaker for misty weather

On all Celebrity cruises, it’s wise to bring along: • Comfortable, rubber-soled shoes • Hat, sunglasses and a good sunscreen 30 Fine Art of Cruising

Evening Wear Celebrity Cruises’ elegant, formal evenings include the Captain’s Welcome Cocktail Party and Dinner, the Captain’s Farewell Dinner and a third “formal” night for those cruises sailing more than seven nights. The daily program, delivered to your stateroom and available at the Guest Relations Desk, will be your guide to the appropriate attire each evening.

On Casual Nights, choose from the following: • Pantsuit or sporty outfit for women • Sport shirt and slacks for men

On Informal Nights, the following is proper wear: • Dress or pants outfit for women • Jacket, shirt and tie for men

On Formal Nights, you’ll want to be seen in: • Cocktail dresses or long gowns • Dinner jackets and dark suits • Tuxedo (If you do not have a tuxedo, one can easily be rented before you sail through Celebrity’s tuxedo representative at 1-800-551-5091. See Tuxedo Rentals section.)

Remember to bring: • Camera and lots of film • Binoculars, especially for spotting wildlife on Alaskan cruises • Guidebook about your destinations • Extra pair of prescription glasses or contact lenses • Prescription medications you may need • Proper gym shoes or other rubber-soled shoes for playing deck sports or using the fitness center • Personal electrical appliances that are compatible with our ships’ electrical current

Ships’ electrical current capabilities: • All Celebrity ships: North American standard, 110 volts AC • Century,SM Constellation,SM Infinity,® Galaxy,SM Mercury,® MillenniumSM and Summit®: Also use European standard 220 volts AC • HorizonSM and Zenith®: Outlet adapter is required for European standard Fine Art of Cruising 31

Although there is no baggage limitation aboard the ship, for your own comfort, it is recommended that you limit the number of pieces you bring. Air Arrangements guests are usually permitted two pieces of checked luggage (not including oversized bags and sports equipment) and a carry-on bag. Check with your air carrier for specific restrictions.

Bring an overnight bag for your last night at sea. Staff will collect your bags the night before disembarkation, and you will need an overnight bag to carry your night clothes and toiletries.

Identify all your bags—even carry-ons. Use your Celebrity Cruises luggage tags, which should be filled out and affixed to each piece before you leave home.

Insure all luggage and valuables. Celebrity Cruises cannot be responsible for their loss or damage. Baggage insurance, as well as medical and trip-cancellation insurance, is now available. Proper Documentation Check to see that your tickets, boarding card and other documents are in order, and pack them in a bag that you carry with you. Your Embarkation Card and Celebrity Sea Pass Card application should be completed before you arrive at the pier. Travel documents and identification You are responsible for bringing all travel documents, such as passports, visas and proof of citizenship, etc., required for boarding the vessel in the country in which you embark on the ship; and for entry or re-entry into the country in which you disembark. When evaluating what travel documents you need, bear in mind that if you travel through other countries before either embarking on the ship or disembarking, additional travel documentation requirements may apply. For example, if you are returning to the United States from certain Caribbean countries, you may need a passport to either enter that Caribbean nation or the United States or both. If you are a citizen of the United States or Canada, and you embark on the vessel and permanently disembark from the vessel in the United States or Canada, you must bring original photo identification (i.e., a state driver’s license; see your travel agent for information on other acceptable forms of identification) along with either: (i) a valid passport or (ii) an official birth certificate. We strongly recommend that you bring your passport. If you are a legal resident of the United States but are not a citizen, you must show either your Temporary Residency card or your Alien Registration (green) card (FormI-5551) prior to boarding. All non–United States citizens must bring a valid passport and may be required to show a valid visa to disembark or re-embark at ports of call covered by your cruise. For guests who will be taking a cruise vacation that includes St. Petersburg, Russia, a visa is required. As a service to our guests who prepurchase one of the available shore excursions in Russia, Celebrity Cruises will handle all of the appropriate visa paperwork. All guests who will embark or disembark in Istanbul are required to obtain Turkish visas either through your consulate or through Zierer Visa Service at the airport or on board. All guests are required to provide Celebrity Cruises with a photocopy of the registration page of his or her passport as well as emergency contact information in order to provide an accurate manifest for port authorities, immigration officials and/or vessels.

NOTE TO ALL GUESTS: The expiration date of your passport must not occur within six months of the scheduled termination date of your voyage.

Inoculations and health requirements Your travel itinerary may take you to destinations that require certain immunizations or inoculations or impose other health-related requirements. For example, if your cruise takes you to Brazil, you may not need any immunization documents if you boarded the cruise in, for example, the United States. However, if you joined the cruise in, for example, Venezuela, the Brazilian government may require proof of Yellow Fever inoculation before you would be allowed to disembark in Brazil. These requirements may apply if you intend to disembark at the various ports of call, but may also apply for any air travel you have planned or for entry into various countries or re-entry into your country of origin. 34 Fine Art of Cruising

Why is having the right documentation important? It is the sole responsibility of the guest to identify all travel, inoculation and health requirements and obtain and have available when necessary the appropriate valid travel documents such as passports and visas, inoculation documents such as Yellow Fever certificates and other health requirements. Guests who do not possess the proper documentation may be prevented from boarding the flight or ship or from disembarking or entering a country and may be subject to fines. If, as a result of your lack of proper documentation, a fine or other cost is incurred by Celebrity Cruises, you agree to indemnify Celebrity Cruises for such expenses.

NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN TO INDIVIDUALS WHO FAIL TO BRING PROPER DOCUMENTATION.

Please check with a travel agent, government agencies, embassies, consulates, your physician, local health departments, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (www.cdc.gov) or the Department of State General Visa Information at 202-663-1225 to determine travel and health documentation requirements. Guests of all nationalities must clear their luggage through United States Customs when returning to the United States.

Customs Detailed instructions about clearing customs will be provided by the Cruise Director during the departing talk on the last day of the cruise. We highly recommend that you attend this important and informative talk.

We will notify you within 30 days after we receive your proof of loss. We may take all or part of a damaged Baggage as a condition for payment of loss. In the event of a loss to a pair or set of items, we will: 1) repair or replace any part to restore the pair or set to its value before the loss; or 2) pay the difference between the value of the property before and after the loss. Baggage Delay Benefits We will reimburse you, up to the amount shown in the Schedule, for the cost of reasonable addi- tional clothing and personal articles purchased by you if your Baggage is delayed by a Common Carrier for 24 hours or more during the Covered Cruise Vacation. You must be a ticketed passen- ger on a Common Carrier. Notice to Florida Residents Your homeowner’s policy, if any, may provide coverage for loss of personal effects provided by the baggage/personal effects coverage. This insurance is not required in connection with the purchase of tickets for your Celebrity Cruises Cruise Vacation.
