That’s where weekend afternoons on 89.7 NPR News provide relief. Saturday and Sunday afternoons give 89.7 NPR News listeners a chance to take a breath, reflect on a single topic, share life experiences, laugh, and even cry. If you have not checked out our weekend line-up lately, here’s a taste:

This American Life – Saturdays at 1pm Ira Glass and his team are journalists, but entertaining journalists. Each week they pick a theme and present stories on that theme complete with compelling people, funny moments and surprising plot twists.

The Moth Radio Hour – Saturdays at 2pm The Moth features true stories told live. Each week’s program showcases average people telling extraordinary stories in front of a live audience, creating a wonderfully unique and intimate experience. Moth stories will keep you in your car at the home center parking lot.

Snap Judgment – Saturdays at 3pm Host Glynn Washington also presents compelling personal stories – but with a beat. The result is cinematic radio with real drama. Do. Not. Miss. It.

Planet Money/How I Built This – Sundays at 2pm The NPR combo focuses on business and entrepreneurship. Planet Money explains serious economic issues with playful storytelling. How I Built This host Guy Raz and his famous guests trace the challenging journeys of some of the world’s most successful innovators.

News fatigue is real, but we know 89.7 NPR News listeners never stop wanting to know more about the world around them; they want to share the experiences of others.
