Latest Update on Corona-virus in China

We’d like to give you the update of new coronavirus pneumonia disease as below:

According to China's National Health Commission, till 0000lt 10th Feb. cases of the novel coronavirus pneumonia disease rose to 35982(33738) on the Chinese mainland, including 6484(6188) in critical condition, and fatalities rose to 908(811). In addition, 23589(28942) suspected cases at present. Close contacts 187518 were tracked and under medical observation. 3281 (2649) cases healed and discharged from hospital * figure in the brackets is up to 0000lt 9th Feb.

Till present, most major cities have implemented Level I Response to Emergent Public Health Hazards and are in travel ban.

Below ports has officially announced crew repatriation prohibited: (Bayuquan/Caofeidian/Tianjin/Dalian/Qingdao/Rizhao/Lianyungang/Zhangjiagang /Taicang/Zhenjiang/Nantong/Zhoushan/Xiamen/Kemen/Xiamen) Other port authorities also recommended not to carry crew change these days.

Loading/discharging rate is slowing down due to lack of labor in most ports, break bulk ships are impacted obviously. No port is closed due to this outbreak of novel coronavirus.

Our suggestion to ship owners/managements/ship’s crew 1. To avoid the crew change plan in China ports during this period 2. Crew is not to disembark vessel during port stay unless necessary 3. Monitor boarding personnel’s body temperature, stop them and report to port authority when abnormal situation found 4. Wear masks during port stay, keep sanitary conditions and disinfect the normal active area. 5. Report to port authority (through agent) if any high body temperature or suspected pneumonia case found, conceal the situation will cause more trouble.
