China's Massive Pdh Expansion Plans Partly Driven by Lpg Traders CHINA’s massive PDH EXPANSION PLANS PARTLY DRIVEN BY LPG TRADERS Of the total 18.2m tonnes/year of new propane dehydrogenation (PDH) capacities currently being planned in China, 16% are driven by companies that are traditionally in the LPG trading business. Proposed new PDH units involving LPG traders are more likely to move forward because most LPG traders are equipped with LPG import facilities, such as port jetties and LPG storage tanks. LPG imported into China consists mainly of propane and butane, and the former is a feedstock for PDH units. China’s PDH units consumed 4.6m tonnes of propane in 2017, according to ICIS data. Their combined propane consumption is expected to reach 5.0m tonnes in 2018, driven by higher operating rates amid increased margins. Propane demand from Chinese PDH units is expected to be as strong in 2019 should PDH margins stay healthy. • 1 RIVERBED EVOLUTION of UPPER PART of YANGTZE ESTUARY and ITS RESPONSE to the HYDRODYNAMIC CHANGES at UPSTREAM Yongping Chen1
RIVERBED EVOLUTION OF UPPER PART OF YANGTZE ESTUARY AND ITS RESPONSE TO THE HYDRODYNAMIC CHANGES AT UPSTREAM Yongping Chen1, Ninglin Jiang 2 and Changkuan Zhang3 The riverbed evolution of upper part of Yangtze estuary, Chengtong reach, is analyzed by comparison of 6 sets of bathymetry data during 1977~2011. The significant changes of water depth profiles along 6 representative cross- sections indicate this reach is still in the process of development. In order to get a better understanding of the effect of river discharge at upstream on the riverbed evolution of Chengtong reach, a series of numerical experiments are implemented by specifying different river discharge conditions at the upper boundary. The corresponding discharge ratios of main and secondary channels at 3 main sub-reaches are compared. The results show that with the increase of river discharge, the discharge ratio in the main channels of Fujiangsha sub-reach and Rugaosha sub-reach increases, but it changes to decrease when the upstream river discharge becomes very large; however, the discharge ratio in the main channel of Tongzhousha sub-reach always decreases with the increase of river discharge at upstream. The discharge ratio of secondary channel has an adverse tendency. Keywords: Yangtze estuary; Chengtong reach; riverbed evolution; numerical modeling; upstream discharge INTRODUCTION Yangtze River is the longest river in China and the third longest river in the world. The estuary of Yangtze River starts from Ebizui of Jiangsu Province and reaches the East China Sea by the city of Shanghai. In recent years, the riverbed of Yangtze estuary has exhibited significant changes under the effects of natural evolution and anthropogenic works (Yang et al, 2006; Liu et al, 2007).

This study calculated the transmissibility of HFMD at county levels in Jiangsu Province, China, analyzed the differences of transmissibility and explored the reasons. Methods: We built susceptible-exposed-infectious-asymptomatic-removed (SEIAR) model for seasonal characteristics of HFMD, estimated effective reproduction number (Reff) by tting the incidence of HFMD in 97 counties of Jiangsu Province from 2015 to 2020, compared incidence rate and transmissibility in different counties by non -parametric test, rapid cluster analysis and rank-sum ratio.

Criteria (ii), (iii) and (iv):The imperial mausolea are outstanding testimony to a cultural and architectural tradition that for over five hundred years dominated this part of the world; by reason of their integration into the natural environment, they make up a unique ensemble of cultural landscapes. Criterion (vi):The Ming and Qing Tombs are dazzling illustrations of the beliefs, world view, and geomantic theories of Fengshui prevalent in feudal China. They have served as burial edifices for illustrious personages and as the theatre for major events that have marked the history of China. The Committee took note, with appreciation, of the State Party's intention to nominate the Mingshaoling Mausoleum at Nanjing (Jiangsu Province) and the Changping complex in the future as an extention to the Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing dynasties. BRIEF DESCRIPTIONS The Ming and Qing imperial tombs are natural sites modified by human influence, carefully chosen according to the principles of geomancy (Fengshui) to house numerous buildings of traditional architectural design and decoration. They illustrate the continuity over five centuries of a world view and concept of power specific to feudal China.

  • Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy) Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy NeoDaoism
03/05/2017 NeoDaoism (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy) Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy NeoDaoism First published Thu Oct 1, 2009; substantive revision Tue Sep 2, 2014 The term “NeoDaoism” seeks to capture the dominant intellectual current or focal development in “early medieval” Chinese philosophy, from the third to the sixth century C.E. As a label, “NeoDaoism” (or “Neo Taoism,” as “Dao” appears as “Tao” under the “WadeGiles” system of romanization favored by earlier generations of sinologists, before the Hanyu pinyin system, adopted here, became standard) can be misleading and will be explained in what follows. In Chinese sources, this development is called Xuanxue (Hsüanhsüeh, in WadeGiles), literally the “learning” or study (xue) of the “dark” or mysterious and profound (xuan). In the Han dynasty lexicon, the Shuowen jiezi by Xu Shen (fl. 100 C.E.), an important reference for the study of early Chinese texts, the word xuan is defined in two ways. First, xuan is defined as what is “hidden and far” (youyuan). Second, xuan denotes a shade of “black with dark red.” This latter appears to be the root meaning of the term. In the Shijing (Classic of Poetry), for example, xuan is sometimes used to depict the color of fabrics or robes (e.g., see the poems “Qiyue” [Mao no. 154] and “Hanyi” [Mao no. 261]). It is also used, notably in the Yijing (Classic of Changes), to describe the color of “heaven” (tian) (see, e.g., the “Wenyan” commentary to Hexagram 2). Stripped of all cosmological references, this may evoke simply an image of the approach of dawn.
