The Town and Country Planning (Local Development) () Regulations 2004

The West Wiltshire Leisure and Recreation Development Plan Document was approved by West Wiltshire District Council on 21 January 2009 and was formally adopted by the Implementation Executive on 26 February 2009.

The Leisure and Recreation DPD sets out the vision, objectives and spatial planning policies for leisure and recreation for the West Wiltshire area for the period up to 2016, or until replaced by the forthcoming Wiltshire Core Strategy. The DPD leisure and recreation spatial planning policies replace those contained in the current Local Plan, the West Wiltshire District Plan First Alteration 2004.

The Leisure and Recreation DPD was considered by an independent Inspector, Mr John Mattocks, at a Public Examination held between 15 and 18 July 2008. The Inspector’s report was published on 29 October 2008 and can be viewed, together with the adopted DPD and other supporting documents, at the locations set out below as well as on the Council’s Website at www.westwiltshire.gov.uk.

Any person aggrieved by the West Wiltshire Leisure and Recreation DPD may make an application to the High Court, under Section 113 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, on the grounds that the DPD is not within the appropriate powers and/or a procedural requirement has not been complied with. Any such application must be made by no later than six weeks from the date of this notice (that is by 9 April 2009).
