    REPORT OF THE AUDITOR-GENERAL ON THE PUBLIC ACCOUNTS OF GHANA – MINISTRIES, DEPARTMENTS AND OTHER AGENCIES (MDAs) FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2008 PART I Introduction The audits of the accounts of Ministries, Departments and other Agencies (MDAs) for the financial year ended 31 December 2008 have been carried out in accordance with the authority given to me under Article 187(2) of the 1992 Constitution of the Republic of Ghana. This report, thereon, is presented to the Speaker for submission to Parliament in compliance with Article 187(5) of the Constitution. The report contains matters of significance that I believe should be brought to the attention of the House. These came to my notice during my officers’ financial and compliance audits of the accounts of the MDAs. Audit objectives 2. The over-all purpose of the audits is to give an opinion on the accounts of each MDA submitted for my examination. As this is the first report that the Audit Service has submitted to Parliament under my stewardship as acting Auditor-General, I have carefully examined the adequacy of procedures and compliance with legislative authorities as well as financial regulations with the view to ascertaining that: Auditor-General’s Report on the Public Accounts of Ghana (MDAs) - 31 December 2008 1 ¾ the public accounts have been properly kept; ¾ all public monies have been fully accounted for and rules and procedures applicable are sufficient to secure an effective check on the assessment, collection and proper allocation of revenue; ¾ monies have been expended for the purposes for which they were appropriated and the expenditures have been made as authorised; ¾ essential records have been maintained and the rules and procedures applied were sufficient to safeguard and control public property; and ¾ programmes and activities have been undertaken with due regard to economy, efficiency and effectiveness in relation to the resources utilised and the results achieved.

    THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH PRESS RELEASE 2018/2019 HEALTH TRAINING INSTITUTIONS ADMISSIONS APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICANTS Applicant must: 1. Purchase application code from any Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) or Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) branch at a cost of One Hundred Ghana Cedis (GH¢100.00). (This includes the cost of verification of results, SMS alerts and all other correspondence). NB: No postage envelopes are required as all correspondence will be via SMS or E-mail. Applicant must, therefore, have a dedicated phone number and an e-mail address. 2. Upon payment, applicant will receive a voucher containing a unique PIN and a Serial number. 3. Access the application form online at https://healthtraining.gov.gh 4. Use your PIN code to log in to gain access to the application form to be filled. 5. Key in your Pin and serial number purchased from the Bank. Note that, the online registration form is accessible only by the PIN and the Serial number. 6. Follow the instructions carefully and fill the relevant stages of the admission process once the online application form is opened. Save the first page filled before continuing to the next page. 7. The applicant’s unique ID (reference number) will be shown on the printed form. 8. You will use this reference number to track the status of the admission process-whether qualified or not, invitation for interview, offer of admission, etc. NB: Any wrongful data entry (e.g. grades, etc. ) detected on the completed form automatically disqualifies the applicant. An applicant must, therefore, give the exact grade as seen on his/her examination results sheet obtained from WAEC as well as his /her personal data.

    2021 POPULATION & HOUSING CENSUS FIELD OFFICER’S MANUAL GHANA STATISTICAL SERVICE MARCH 2021 | P a g e PREFACE AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT All impactful developmental activities take into account the population and housing characteristics as a necessary condition. To this end, the 2021 Population and Housing Census (PHC) will be conducted to provide updated data on the socio-economic, demographic, and living conditions of persons living in Ghana. Collecting such information is crucial as it enables the formulation and implementation of viable development plans and programmes at national, regional, district and sub-district levels. The 2021 PHC will be Ghana’s first digital population and housing census, following previous censuses that were less underscored with information and technological innovations. While the conduct of a digital census promotes the achievement of complete coverage and ensure quality data, its implementation requires behavioural change and adaptation to new working approaches, detailed planning and synchronization of activities. Among the requirements for adhering to the demands of conducting a digital census is the production of comprehensive documentation of the processes and systems for all stakeholders involved in the conduct of the census. Premised on the foregoing, the Field Officer’s Manual has been prepared for the Enumerators and Supervisors to utilise during training and data collection. The manual provides definitions of key concepts and provides clarifications to ensure all definitions are well understood. Examples have also been provided for illustrative purposes to enhance understanding. The manual provides an understanding of the Census processes and its objectives, how the Census will be conducted, questionnaire content, and the roles of enumerators and supervisors.
