The AHP forms part of the Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP), which is designed to assist in safeguarding the growing populace of the SLRD and to meet legislative obligations. This plan is a strategic document that provides direction on how comprehensive, risk-based emergency management will be implemented in the SLRD. Designed to be utilized as a “tool box”, the AHP is structured so that each department or staff member of the SLRD may apply the specific sections of the plan to their operations during a major emergency or disaster. The AHP was adopted on November 27th, 2019 by the SLRD Board of Directors and will be reviewed within 5 years of its adoption.
