Hello and welcome to our third catalogue of 2021 for our auction sale on the 27th of May!

Are we getting back to some semblance of normality; both within the property industry and in our daily lives? Whilst it’s not a particularly scienti c barometer, in the last week I’ve probably had more conversations about the weather (it has been unseasonably chilly so far this spring…) than I have about COVID, so maybe. Also, the Strettons Auction Team are all gearing up to return to the o ce full time in the coming weeks; and whilst there are elements of working from home that I have enjoyed (better co ee, no commute, not having to be suited and booted everyday etc) I have missed the buzz I get from being in close proximity to my colleagues and the energy and dynamism that an o ce environment promotes; so I for one, am very much looking forward to being back at my desk!

Whilst the war against Coronavirus is not yet won, it is greatly heartening to see that nearly 35,000,000 people in the UK have has their rst jab of the vaccine with over 16,000,000 having had their second one too. Over 51,000,000 vaccines delivered is quite remarkable; it says a lot about our resilience as a nation and it is a testament to the best of British spirit and endeavour.

As I mentioned in these notes last month, I want to give my sincere thanks to those of you who actively support But with lots ranging from just £400 to nearly £2M, as Strettons Auctions, both as sellers and buyers. As with our April catalogue, achieve all this with a success rate of 90% and an average we have added details of which auction surveyor is dealing selling price of 24.5% over guide price; with the national with each individual lot on the catalogue listings; we have auction average being just 77.8% (source: eigroup), it is a done this to make it easier for you to speak directly to credit to my dedicated, hardworking team that we have the best placed team member, who will answer all of your been able to outperform the market on so many metrics. questions.
