th ANNUAL REPORT CARD ON ATLANTIC CANADIAN HIGH SCHOOLS This is the ninth annual report card on Atlantic Canadian high schools (RC9). It is based on a three-year average including 2006/07, 2007/08, and 2008/09, where available. The grades reported here assess SCHOOL performance at meeting their objectives; it is not an assessment of individual student’s performance. The final grade and rank for the eighth annual report card (RC8) is included to indicate whether your school(s) are improving or getting worse, overall. There is a great deal of information presented here. We encourage you to dig below the overall rank and grade. Even the highest ranked schools can improve and those at the bottom of the list can take pride in their specific strengths. The Research Team 9 Principal researcher Rick Audas is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Community Health, Faculty of Medicine, Memorial University of Newfoundland. Co-author Jamie Newman is the Policy Analyst at AIMS. Co-author Charles Cirtwill is President & CEO of AIMS, as well as the head of the Institute’s Education and School Reform Project.
