Region III – A total of 405 families or 1,621 persons in 15 brgys in four (4) municipalities and two (2) cities in the Provinces Pampanga and have been affected by Typhoon “EMONG”

Landslide Occured: City – Landslide incidents occurred in four (4) Sitios of Bgry Kalaklan, namely: #92 Brgy Kalaklan, #205 Lower Kalaklan, 14-C Upper Kalaklan and #35 Ati-atihan, Hilltop, Kalaklan

Casualty: Dead – 1; Injured – 2; Missing – 1 - One (1) reported dead due to heart attack Jeremy Ambalisa in Guinipanng, Brgy , Sta. Cruz, Zambales - Two (2) were injured, namely: Willjo Balaran, 3 y/o of Lower Kalaklan and Perla Balaran 49 y/o of the same brgy - One (1) missing namely, Asley Dualo Mosallina in Bagong Silang, Balanga City

Actions Taken: • Olongapo City CDCC Rescue Team advised the residents to evacuate immediately to safer grounds • All school buildings in Olongapo City are being prepared as evacuation centers. Olongapo National High School as the main evacuation center. • Olongapo City Engineering Team conducted clearing operations • Kalaklan BDCC was advised to secure and monitor the area for possible landslide due to heavy rains

Stranded Passengers: • 500 to 600 stranded passengers at the Port of Batangas bound for the island provinces of Romblon, Palawan and Masbate • 205 stranded passengers in Calapan Port, Oriental Mindoro due to cancellation of trips

Region II • Cagayan Electric Cooperative 2 restored its power supply as of 6:00 PM today, 07 May 2009 • Communication lines, water and health facilities are in operational status

Region III - Zambales - ZAMECO 1 – Botolan still no power

NCR • Transient power interruptions experienced in some areas in Makati city, Pasay, Malate, , Parañaque, Las Piñas and Brgy Paltok in Quezon City. Power has been restored as of 7:00 PM III. Humanitarian Efforts • NEA o Technical Operation Team is on standby awaiting for the clearing of the distribution lines

• National Grid Corporation of the (NGCP) POWER LINES o NGCP – Luzon System Operations Group is on 24/7 duty to monitor power status o NGCP Operations and Maintenance Group ensure transmission facilities are secured and power will be restored the soonest time possible in case of unavoidable power interruptions o No Power - Sub-transmission Lines: San Carlos-Labrador; Agoo-Naguillan

• PCG o Suspended the operation of inter-island ships below 1,000 Gross Tonage except boats exceeding the above weight limit • DSWD o DSWD Field Office - CAR allocated Php300,000.00 calamity fund and 1,000 family food packs ready for distribution as disaster stockpile augmentation o Food and non-food items are readily available for augmentation support. Likewise, standy fund are sufficient and ready o Social Welfare Action Disaster (SWAD) Teams in the provinces of Region II are in close coordination with Provincial/City Social Welfare Development Office (P/CSWDOs) are reactivated o Activation of Disaster Management Teams (DMTs) from regional and provincial level to provide technical assistance to the concerned LGUs o Prepositioning of standby funds, family food packs and stockpile of relief commodities composed of food and non-food to the Field Offices of CAR, NCR, Regions I, II, III, IV-A & IV-B

Regional Situation • Region I o All provinces are experiencing scattered rainshowers with moderate winds o Advised DCCs to effect preparedness measures and alerted to be on standby o OCDRC-I, PDCCs & Sur, La Union & Pangasinan activated their Operations Center o PNP PRO1, Naval Forces Northern Luzon, Phil. Coast Guard and SAR Teams are on standby status o PDCC Ilocos Norte advised local officials and their respective MDCCs to prepare rescue equipment and relief goods as well as to identify possible evacuation centers o RDCC 1 convened this afternoon to discuss disaster prevention, preparedness and response arrangements o MDCCs Bolinao, Infanta, Urbiztondo and Malasiqui, Pangasinan mobilized and organized PNP-Bolinao Personnels, BFP Officials, Rural Health Unit, PNRC Municipal Vehicle drivers, ambulances, partner as stakeholders in disaster management, brgy captains, council members, CVOs and Bantay Dagay in preparation to Typhoon “EMONG”; likewise, schools, churches municipal town hall, Bayanihan Town Hall have been prepared as possible Evacuation Centers; Communication System were likewise organized from Disaster Coordinating Council to Municipal Coordinating Council • Region II o PNP PRO 2, Naval Force – Sta. • Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) o All provinces are experiencing scattered rainshowers with light to moderate winds o CRDCC-OCD Operation Center is activated o PDCCs of Kalinga, Ifugao, Apayao, Abra, and Mt. Province activated and alerted their Operations Centers and DCCs; SAR and Response Teams and Medical Response Teams; Law Enforcement & Military Assistance; Pre- positioned Medical Supplies; Identified and prepared Evacuation Centers; Prepared food and drinking water; Implemented Local Contingency Plan; Evacuated residents along river banks/shore lines and low-lying areas in Apayao Province

• Region IV-A o Experiencing cloudy skies with light rainshowers at times all over the area

• Region IV-B o Disseminated Flood Advisory and Severe Weather Bulletins to RDCC IV-B and PDCCs of MIMAROPA

• NCR o Metro Manila is experiencing occasional rainshowers o MMDA Base and LDCCs reported no flooded areas in their AOR as the volume of water induced by Typhoon “EMONG” o Task Force NCR is on alert status and continuously monitoring the situation
