Hosted by Citytv personality Dina Pugliese (Breakfast Television Toronto) and TeenFlare.com editor Laura Lanktree, the coast-to-coast Ford Models search for the next great talent to join its roster ends in a spectacular finale featuring a performance of the hit single “Saviour” by Juno Award winner, LIGHTS. In the previous three episodes the contestants experienced a crash course in modeling and fashion learning the best from industry pros at Ford, Maybelline, Redken and Diesel, perfecting their runway strut and posing for the camera in high-fashion shoots as the field was narrowed from twelve to the final six.

The winner of the Ford Models Supermodel of the World Canada search will represent Canada in the Ford Supermodel of the World competition to be held in January 2010 in Brazil with representatives from over 50 countries and the winner of the Ford Supermodel of the World competition will receive a $250,000 (US) modeling contract with Ford Models.

The Ford Models Supermodel of the World Canada search has produced four beautiful world finalists including last year’s winner Shelby Furber, and Kate Somers in 2007. Both girls are currently working with some of the world’s top designers and photographers. In the 30-year history of Ford Supermodel of the World, Canadian girls have won three times – more than any other country - Leanne Spencer (1996), Monika Schnarre (1986), Tricia Helfer (1992).
