DAY OFFICIAL GUIDLINES H The purpose of the DRESSING UP FOR HALLOWEEN is to have fun and to create spirit in the school. The purpose of his day is to align to our core value of “Unitas”. This is not a down day. Students who decide not to participate are to be dressed according to the regular school . • ID cards must be worn at all times and all other dress code policies will still be enforced. A • All students participating must come to school dressed in their -- time is not permitted for getting ready in the building. Therefore, students should not bring makeup or hair products to school. Anyone found with those item will have them confiscated and they will not be returned. • Candy is also not allowed in the building -- save your trick-or-treating for the weekend. • Students who wish to participate must be dressed in appropriate costumes, costumes that are creative, costumes that are in good taste, costumes that do not hurt or bring embarrassment to the school, parents or L the student himself. The student is responsible for knowing whether something is appropriate or not. If you have a question as to whether a costume is appropriate or not ask the Dean of Men, Mr. Partacz.

We are sure that NO STUDENT WILL FORCE THEIR TEACHERS OR THE ADMINISTRATION TO ISSUE PUNISHMENTS OR GIVE DETENTIONS by abusing and/or taking advantage of the privilege given to them. L THE DEAN OF MEN WILL HAVE THE FINAL SAY AS TO WHETHER COSTUMES ARE APPROPRIATE OR NOT. BASIC COSTUME RULES • Costumes may not have parts that interfere with learning. This means no masks or costumes O that restrict movement or vision, prevent sitting at desks, or prevent participation in physical education class. Costumes must not obstruct movement in the hallways. • Costumes may not be violent or suggestive. • Costumes may not promote violence or have accessories or props that could be used as a weapon. • Masks are not permitted. • Make-up or face-paints are permitted. W • No bare midriffs or “revealing” , such as short , underwear or Speedos. • Appropriate must be worn, etc. • You must be able to sit, walk, breathe, see and hear (no masks that cover the face). • Costumes cannot promote use of drugs, alcohol or weapons of any kind. • No pretend “prop” weapons such as water pistols, knives or swords. E • All school rules will be enforced (i.e., no bikes, skateboards, roller blades, etc.). • Costumes may not be offensive or inappropriate in any way. E • Students should not wear costumes that make fun of others or make others feel uncomfortable. N MONDAY
