Ensemble Groups Most of the ensemble costumes can be put together with a bit of imagination, effort and creativity. Thrift stores, Goodwill, The Salvation Army and Savers are great resources for theatrical costuming. Don't forget to look in your closets/basements – you'd be surprised at what you can find!
All performers must have dark colored non-descriptive shoes or boots All Performers must have an opening number (towns person) costume. Keep it simple by layering over your featured/lead costume. All Snow Chorus must have light color ballet slippers or jazz shoes
Townspeople: traditional Norwegian dress (bunads) Girls: vibrant and colorful calf length peasant skirt, white long sleeve blouse, a colorful/pattern vest or long apron, white or nude tights Boys: solid colored pants or knickers, bright colored long sleeve shirt, tunic vest, knee socks if wearing knickers OR Boys: Bavarian style Lederhosen costume

Oaken Family: Layer over your opening costume with big, wool sweaters, faux fur vests, wool hats, scarves. Furry boots or furry leg warmers, if you have. Oaken: add furry aviator hat (similar to Tough Headwear Aviator Ear Flap Eskimo Hat on Amazon) Think fuzzy, comfy and cozy!
Palace Guards: *Please coordinate so you both look identical black dress pants, black turtleneck long sleeve shirt, gray/red sleeveless surcoat tunic (similar to Templar tunic costumes on Amazon)
Bishop: long, black bishop robe and shoulder cape (similar to Underwraps Father Men's Adult Religious costume on Amazon), mitre clergy hat (see mitre hats on Thecostumer.com)
Weselton: a regal tunic and dark pants, flashy colored sash and handkerchief (similar to California Costumes – Men's Dark Prince on Amazon)
Sven: knee pads are a must! brown/tan furry reindeer costume with antlers (similar to Rubies Unisex comfy wear reindeer costume on Amazon) Feel free to create a costume out of brown sweats with furry socks, gloves, antlers and hooves. Sven can also wear a brown onesie with added fur pieces. Thecostumer.com sells reindeer accessories if you choose to put together a costume.
Olaf: standard and goofy Olaf costume should be easy to find please choose one that allows for the face to be seen (no masks) and allowing for some stuffing - you need to have a big, bouncy butt! (similar to Disney Frozen Olaf 2 Men's Union Suit on Amazon or Adult Olaf unisex pajamas onesie costume) Hans: A “prince charming” look dark pants, white (or royal blue jacket) with epaulets, shoulder cord, chest cord, white gloves, belt (you need a belt to hold your sword which will be provided), shirt color TBD depending on chosen jacket color (similar to California Costumes Men's Storybook Prince on Amazon)
Kristoff: standard Kristoff costume – a “mountain man” look dark pants, tunic shirt, vest with fur collar/sleeves (similar to Adult Kristoff 2 costume Halloween Cosplay on Amazon or Kristoff Halloween costume for Adults on Partycity.com or Disguise Men's Frozen Kristoff costume on Amazon) add wool hat and large boots or possible boot covers – The Costumer sells these accessories
Queen Iduna: standard Queen costume (dark red/wine/gold ), crown, nude tights, long gloves (similar to Renaissance costume Medieval Dress on Amazon)
King Agnaar: black pants, long coat/tunic (preferably dark red/wine/gold) embellished with epaulets, sash and medals, high boots, crown OR (something similar to King Medieval Renaissance Adult costume in royal blue/black on Amazon)
Anna (young, middle and older): standard Anna costume - royal blue skirt, dark Bavarian vest, pale blue blouse, tights Please coordinate so you all look similar and that it is obvious you are the same character at different ages. Try to style your hair in Anna braids so you can alleviate purchasing a wig. Older Anna – add maroon cape. You do not need a 2nd dress for coronation. You will just cover your costume with the cape.
Elsa (young, middle and older): standard Elsa blue ice dress, white tights, Elsa wig Please coordinate so you all look similar and that it is obvious you are the same character at different ages. Middle and Older Elsa – add white long gloves Older Elsa – add purple long cape for coronation
All Swings: please confirm with your fellow actors if you can wear their costume should it be necessary for you to perform in their place.
