For eleven years now, Clarke's has stood as practically an institution to locals and Fordham students alike. It has witnessed many changes in the past decade, in both the neighborhood and the people that flock to its counter. During campaign week for last semester's United Student Government elections, there was general agreement that student government in recent years had been a joke. Although representatives in the past may have had good intentions, they never seemed to get anything done. The question loomed large: was it a matter of students not working hard enough or was it simply a matter of student government being an ineffective tool for influencing the Administration's decisions? —Faculty Forum- The accomplishments of this year's USG have proven that student government is far from powerless.
