FORDHAM IS WINNINGEST NYC COLLEGE FOOTBALL TEAM • No New York area college football team has won more games since 2012 than Ford- ham, who has amassed 58 victories over that stretch. • The closest collegiate competitors are Stony Brook (53), Sacred Heart (52) and Rutgers (38), while the NFL’s Giants lead all NYC area professional teams with 57 wins over the past ten years and the Jets have 50.

DEMORAT CLIMBING CAREER LISTS • With his five passing in the spring,Fordham senior quarterback Tim DeMorat brought his career total to 36, good for fifth on the Fordham career list. • He is nine behind (2000-2003) for fourth. • In the spring season, DeMorat led the NCAA FCS in com- pletion percentage, connecting on 72.1% of his attempts. • DeMorat also has 473 career completions, placing him sixth on the Fordham career list. • His 5,356 career passing yards is seventh best at the school. • DeMorat set a school freshman mark with eleven touch- down tosses in 2018, including a freshman record four versus Bryant.

Fordham Appeared in the First Televised THE College Football Game 80 Years Ago On September 30, 1939, Fordham hosted NUMBERS Waynesburg College at Triboro Stadium on Randall’s Island. The game was the season opener for the Rams, who beat Waynesburg, 3 34-7. Announcer Bill Stern called the Number of Rams named Academic contest over station W2XBS (now WNBC) All-Patriot League in 2020-21 as a demonstration of this new medium at the World’s Fair. Two iconoscope cameras, 3 which had just been patented by RCA, were Patriot League Titles used to televise the game with the images (2002, 2007, 2014) being sent to a relay station 10 miles from the stadium and then, by cable, to the top of the Empire State Building, where a large transmitter broadcast the game to the lucky few who owned a television in those days. A top-of-the-line set in 1939, a Clifton, sold for about $600. 4 Notable Fordham players who appeared in the game include Len Eshmont and Academic All-Americans over the Dominic Principe, who went on to play in the professional ranks, as well as Ralph Friegden, past six years (Brett Biestek in 2013; father of former Maryland head coach Ralph Friedgen, who scored twice in the game Biestek, Dan Light in 2014, and and Donald Lambeau - son of Green Bay Packer legend Earl Louis "Curly" Lambeau.
