Though his notorious drug usage had been restricted since the early 90s when he began suffering from diabetes and hypertension, he refused to completely give up drinking and smoking after the procedure. It did make him reduce his alcohol intake. He finally gave up his “daily bottle of Jack Daniel’s” habit that he’d had since the mid-70s. Still, he readily admitted he had could not completely give up alcohol and cigarettes . He called this refusal, “Dogged insolence in the face of mounting opposition to the contrary.” That phrase may well distill not only Kilmister’s life, but the entire philosophy of Rock ‘n’ Roll as well. More than two years later, just days after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, Kilmister died at about 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time in his two- bedroom apartment not far from his favorite hang-out, the Rainbow Bar & Grill, on Sunset Boulevard, where he was often enthralled in the playing of a particular video game. When Kilmister became too ill to leave his apartment, the owners of the Rainbow had the game moved to his home so he could continue to play it. It is said that Kilmister died sitting upright in a stool in front of the machine.

    JAMSESSION Hudební klub v Orlové FANZIN ROCK A COUNTRY - LIBUŠIN MIKULÁŠEK V předvečer Mikuláše 5. prosince 2015 se konalo v restauraci Libuše v Dětmarovicích po dlouhé době setkání muzikantů sdružených kolem bývalého Hudebního klubu v Orlové. Cestou na hudební setkání bylo možno potkat v ulicích města s vánoční výzdobou Mikuláše s čertem a andělem, což slibovalo bohatou hudební nadílku. Bohužel za ten půlrok došlo k rozpadu bluesové skupiny Ještě nijak i rockové kapely Tatapult. S hudebníky to zamíchalo a došlo ke kvalitativní přeměně kapely Z budy. Kapela nyní hraje ve složení Petr Holáň (sólová kytara), Jaromír Puhr (2. sólová kytara), Lubomír Krzystek (doprovodná kytara), Miroslav Hynar (basová kytara) a Miroslav Lazur (bicí). Tím se kapela umělecky posunula výše a přejme jí, aby vydržela do jara 2016, kdy budou probíhat Orlovské dny, na kterých by se ráda představila Orlovanům. Setkání muzikantů po 17. hodině zahájil „manager“ kapely Z budy Miroslav Křivda. Jeho způsob komentování připomíná uvádění Petrem Šiškou z kapely Legendy se vrací. Z počátku zahrála kapela Z budy, po ní nastoupila country kapela Belegro pod vedením Jiřího Frice. Belegro hraje poctivou country s příjemnými vokály. Zahrála ale jen jednu rundu, protože bubeník kapely Z budy chtěl předvést novou uměleckou výši kapely nečekané krátkodobé návštěvě. Pak hrál host Josef Pak na elektrofonickou basu doprovázen citlivě Petrem Holáněm na sólovou kytaru čtyři své skladby a dvě ve své úpravě v pořadí: Pravdivé slzy života (vlastní), Anička dušička (upravená lidová), Valčík pro mamku (vlastní), Bezdomovec lásky (vlastní), Prší, prší, jen se leje (upravená lidová), orientální instrumentální skladba (vlastní). Byl to zážitek především pro znalce hudby.

    Đorđe Stijepovic - Intervju Za slabije upucene Đorđe Stijepovic, koga je nedavno Rockabilly Magazin proglasio za najboljeg rockabilly bassistu uopste, zadnih par godina nastupa sirom Evrope i Amerike, svirajuci pretezno rockabilly ali i druge muzicke pravce. Pored Atomic Sunset, koji je pre godinu dana izdao prvi album, nastupa zajedno i u sklopu grupe The Head Cat sa Lemmijem iz Motörheada, Slim Jimom iz Stray Catsa i drugih. eurorockabilly: Pre nego sto te pitam sta trenutno radis, reci nam nesto o pocetcima, kako si otkrio muziku uopste i zasto si se odlucio za kontrabas? Đorđe: Muzikom sam odlučio da se bavim dosta rano, još negde sa 11 godina. To je bila prva stvar koja me je organski pomerila. Sa nekih deset godina sam prvi put čuo Tonija Montana, otišao na koncert Đavola, otkinuo na film Wanderers, provalio da je Elvis pedesetih bio mnogo više kul nego popularna muzika krajem osamdesetih i što je najbitnije, naleteo na prvu ploču Stray Cats-a! To me je potpuno rasturilo! Sve ovo me je navelo da osnujem bend sa ortacima iz razreda i stavim sve ostalo po strani. U to vreme sam svirao gitaru, koja me nikad nije posebno zanimala, ali mi je sada vrlo značajno da umem da se služim i tim instrumentom pri pisanju pesama i pravljenju aranžmana. Par godina kasnije sam video Veljka, kontrabasistu beogradske rockabilly grupe Vera Kvark, u Knez Mihajlovoj ulici kako šokira slučajne prolaznike svojim slepom i blajhanom ćubom. Mislim da sam tad shvatio da će kontrabas obeležiti moj život. U to neko vreme sam sreo i porodičnu prijateljicu, inače direktorku muzičke škole, koja se trudila da popuni nepopularnu klasu kontrabasa.
