Product Information Product Information KL-0280-62 K KL-0280-62 K Locking Tool Set VW 1.2, 1.4, 1.6, 1.9 and 2.0 TDI Suitable for the most common VW-Audi, Seat and Skoda vehicles with: 1.2, 1.4, 1.6, 1.9 and 2.0 L 3- and 4-Cylinder TDI diesel engines. Installed in VW Lupo, Polo, Golf, Passat and Audi A3, A4 etc. Field of Application This tool is designed to lock or position engine shafts such as camshafts, injection pump shafts and crankshafts. It can also be used for locking and/or positioning pulley tensioners as well as for adjusting the timing belt tensioner. The guide pins included in the set are required to pull the front-end carrier forwards. Removal of the front-end carrier is not necessary. Application examples: Pulling the front-end carrier forwards. KL-0286-11 Advantages • Locking the crankshaft. Paul Ivey started his career as an apprentice at Downton Engineering and went from strength to strength from then on. He has been involved quite extensively with the development of the Cooper ‘S’, Jaguars and the Twin Cam Lotus engines of the time. Eventually this led him to the decision of starting up a special tuning parts business supplying valves to the fast growing car market. Inevitably this brought Race Engine Components and G&S Valves, the specialised engine valve manufacturer, together. They jointly formed a partnership in the early 80’s and together have developed many valve designs and associated parts including valves, retainers and collets suitable for the new breed of high revving racing engines that rev to speeds in excess of 16,000 rpm.
