FOREWORD Effective January 1, 2019, previous editions of the SCCA® National Solo® Rules are superseded by the following SCCA® National Solo® Rules. SCCA® reserves the right to revise these rules, to issue supplements to them, and publish special rules at any time at its sole discretion. Chang- es of this nature will normally become effective upon publication on the SCCA® website (www.scca.com); but may become effective immediately in emergency situations as determined by SCCA®. Questions concerning rules clarifications should include the information required by Section I.2.2.B of the Introductory Section of these rules and be addressed to: www.soloeventsboard.com or www.sebscca.com SCCA® Solo® Events Board 6620 SE Dwight St. Topeka, KS 66619-0400 1-800-770-2055 Portions of these National Solo® Rules differing significantly from the previous editions are denoted by the revised wording being shown itali- cized. Finality Of Interpretation And Application. The interpretation and application of the SCCA® National Solo® Rules by SCCA® officials shall be final and binding. In order to promote the sport of automobile competition, to achieve prompt finality in competition results, and in con- sideration of the numerous benefits to them, all participants, including competitors and officials, expressly agree that: 1. They are familiar with the SCCA® National Solo® Rules and agree to abide by them; 2. Determinations by SCCA® officials are non-litigable; 3. They will not initiate or maintain litigation of any kind against SCCA® or anyone acting in behalf of SCCA® to reverse or modify such determinations, or to seek to recover damages or other relief allegedly incurred or required as a result of such determination; 4. If a participant initiates or maintains litigation in violation of this provision, that participant agrees to reimburse SCCA® for all costs of such litigation, including travel expenses and attorney fees. January, 2011 INTRODUCTION Advanced Manufacturing is a term without an exact or consistent definition. The proponents know it when they see it but often can’t define it. The definition is not commonly agreed upon, even in the manufacturing community. This ambiguity has hamstrung communities and states hoping to develop a strategy for promoting and growing Advanced Manufacturing. If you can’t define it, how can you identify and develop it? Most experts now agree on several points. First, advanced manufacturing isn’t industry specific, although some industries such as defense, aerospace, and automotive have more advanced manufacturing companies than others. Advanced Manufacturing is identified at the company rather than the industry level. It is more useful to define Advanced Manufacturing based on “how” companies manufacture, rather than on their end products. Since all of the economic and employment information for manufacturing is collected based on the finished goods that are produced, traditional industry statistics aren’t useful for identifying it.

    LOLA AT 60 WE CELEBRATE ONE OF THE GREAT RACING CAR CONSTRUCTORS Including FROM BROADLEY TO BIRRANE GREATEST CARS LOLA’S SECRET WEAPON THE AUDI CHALLENGER The success of the Mk1 sports-racer, usually powered by the Coventry Climax 1100cc FWA engine, brought Lola Cars into existence. It overshadowed the similar e orts of Lotus boss Colin Chapman and remained competitive for several seasons. We believe it is one of designer Eric Broadleyʼs greatest cars, so turn to page 16 to see what our resident racer made of the original prototype at Donington Park. Although the coupe is arguably more iconic, the open version of the T70 was more successful. Developed in 1965, the Group 7 machine could take a number of di erent V8 engines and was ideal for the inaugural Can-Am contest in ʼ66. Champion John Surtees, Dan Gurney and Mark Donohue won races during the campaign, while Surtees was the only non-McLaren winner in ʼ67. The big Lola remains a force in historic racing.
