Historical Note

The Ball State Office of Greek Life is a division of the Office of Student Life. It is responsible for overseeing the Greek community on campus that is comprised of fraternities, sororities, Interfraternity Council, and the Panhellenic Council. The office in conjunction with the Greek community strives to promote leadership, friendship, philanthropy, and academic success.

Scope and Contents

Scope and Contents: This collection contains fraternity and sorority histories, membership lists, awards and recognitions, and recruitment publications from the Office of Greek Life. Subseries 1 contains sorority and fraternity membership lists with sensitive information. Subseries 2 contains fraternity and sorority records produced and collected by the Ball State University Office of Student Affairs, Greek Life Unit from 1939 to 2000. Subseries 3 includes Panhellenic awards and recognitions from the Mid-America Panhellenic Council Association, Mid American Greek Council Association, and Mid-America Intra- Fraternity Council Association. Subseries 4 contains sorority and fraternity recruitment publications from the Office of Greek Life from 1981-2005.
