This is the first full year since the closing date for the Society's financial year was put back to 30th June in 1967. It must therefore be remembered that the comparison figures shown in the Accounts as for 1966-7 are for nine months only. During the year £500 was made available to the Museum from the Special Purchases Fund leaving a balance of £66. The investments held by the Society are shortly to be reviewed. It is noticed that the funds in both Dr A. O. Curie's and Dr William Angus's Bequests have not been used for some years. The present balances in the Savings Bank Accounts are £289 and £139 respectively. A watchful eye must be kept on the trend of costs. The Treasurer said how grateful he was to Mr Lamb for his co-operation and helpfulness in the hand- over of the Treasureship.
