Important Information About Oxenford 4 –15 APRIL 2018 Important information about Oxenford The Gold Coast is about to host the 2018 Commonwealth Games and this is the chance for all residents to be a part of this exciting event. This once in a lifetime opportunity will see 11 days of world class competition from 4 –15 April 2018 on our doorstep. Support from the community is essential in making this a successful international event. Grab this chance to experience the Games atmosphere, the sporting events, the Festival 2018 entertainment and extend a warm welcome to our athletes and visitors. This will bring challenges to our roads and may bring disruption to our daily lives, however these games will offer our community more than just a legacy of bricks and mortar but great memories and opportunities for future generations. Celebrating the event Oxenford will host the Boxing, Squash and Temporary infrastructure at the venue will enable elite Table Tennis competitions throughout the 11 day athletes to perform to their peak during the Games, while spectators and officials will experience the competition period of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth in comfort.
