The Musical Tribute Stage Show "I Remember and Roy Orbison" features the music of two of the most popular singers of the 20th Century! Buddy Holly had an incredible string of 22 hits between 1956-1959, when he was killed in a plane crash Feb 3, 1959, known as "" Holly's hits are performed by 19 year old sensation Richie Lee, who started performing in public when he was only 8! He is generally regarded as the #1 Buddy Holly Tribute artist in the U. S.! Roy Orbison had an incredible string of hits starting in 1959; Roy's hits are performed by Wayne Luchau of the Twin Cities, who has had a long successful career in music. He possesses an incredible vocal range, necessary to sing the high notes in Orbison's songs, something very few singers can do. Also featured on the show is Kathy McDaniel, veteran vocalist who has performed with the Symphony. Kathy does a tribute to Patsy Cline and other female singing stars of the 50's and 60's. Backing up the show are , who as and the Shadows filled in for Buddy Holly at the Moorhead Armory! Bobby Vee went on to have 3 gold records in the 60's and Bobby Vee and the Shadows toured North America in the 60’s. The band, led by original bassist Dick Dunkirk, does a tribute to Vee singing some of his million sellers like “Take Good Care of my Baby, , and others”. One of the most unique parts of the show is a violin ensemble from the F-M Symphony accompanying the artists doing the original written arrangements of the songs by Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison and Bobby Vee!
