Georgia FCCLA Dress Code 2018 State Leadership Conference Georgia FCCLA Dress Code 2018 State Leadership Conference FCCLA members are expected to display a professional image at all functions. Members should always be respectful to administrators, exhibitors, parents, advisers and other members. Advisers will ensure that students look professional and in appropriate attire at all times. Students in inappropriate clothes will be asked to change clothes before returning to the meeting. Attendees may also wear the FCCLA official dress. Official dress consists of the official red blazer, white collared dress shirt (long or short sleeves), black dress slacks/pants/capris (no shorts) or black skirts (no shorter than 2 inches above the knee) or black sheath dress, and black dress shoes. **Advisers and guests are encouraged to follow the dress code. However, business casual attire is appropriate. Blue jeans and beach footwear are not appropriate attire. Inappropriate Attire The following should not be worn to any FCCLA activity, including in hotel hallways and lobby: • Clothing and accessories which are sexually suggestive, which advertise drugs, alcohol or tobacco products or display profanity. • See-through, tight fitting, spaghetti straps, strapless, extremely short or low-cut blouses/tops/dresses/skirts. • Pants or skirts that are worn below the hip bone; no undergarments may be showing. • Spandex, leggings, stirrup pants, leotards, short shorts, cutoffs or pajamas. If leggings are worn, shorts/skirt/dress must be an appropriate length over the leggings. • Clothing which is stained, torn or ripped. • Bare feet .

According to their traditional beliefs, they have occupied these territories since iikmuut (the time before time) and archaeological evidence from this region confirms occupation for at least 5000 years (McMillan 2000). Like other Northwest Coast indigenous peoples, Nuu-chah-nulth social organization is complex and reflected in design practice and iconography (Holm 2014; Jonaitis 2006). Families own crests, which are iconographic imagery that represent histories, rights, and privileges (Green 2014).

WHOSE CLOTHES WILL WE LOOK UNDER? .......................................... 45 In her book, The End of Men,1 Hanna Rosin argues that women have “surpassed” men. This new reality necessitates a reevaluation of marriage, family, sex, and gender roles.2 To further her claim, Rosin dedicates a chapter of her book to the topic of violence committed by women. She argues that women are becoming more violent3: The new [trope] taps into a fear that as they gain more power, women will use violence and their new specialized skills to get what they want. Singular and exotic though these cases may be, they raise the broader unsettling possibility that, with the turnover in modern gender roles, the escalation from competitiveness to aggression to violence that we are used to in men has started showing up in women as well.4 In this Essay I offer two related but distinct reflections on her line of argumentation with regard to women and violence.5 First, I argue that Rosin Aziza Ahmed is Assistant Professor of Law at Northeastern University School of Law. After receiving your caps and gowns, PRESS THE GOWN. When worn, the gown should hang approximately 8 inches from the floor for all students. GOWNS ARE ALL BLUE THIS YEAR –NO RED GOWNS. 2. Prior to the graduation practice, return all textbooks and library books; pay all fines. These obligations must be met before 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 31st. 3. GRAD REHEARSAL - There will be no rehearsal time at Lawlor so we are holding a mandatory rehearsal during 7th period Monday, June 3rd. Only students who have a 7th period will be excused from this rehearsal. Caps and gowns will also be distributed at this time. 4. On the day of the actual ceremony, please have your cap and gown on a hanger as this will be your ticket for entry into Lawlor. Please arrive no later than 9:30 am on Wednesday, June 12th. Grad speakers should arrive by 9:15 am so they have time to practice on stage. 5. All graduates are expected to dress appropriately for the ceremonies. Students who wish to bring an out-of-town/out-of-school guest must provide the individual’s name, school attending or city of residence, graduation year to the principal/designee for approval at least ONE WEEK prior to prom. Out of-town students/guests must be under the age of 21. Students will not be able to purchase a ticket for an out-of-town or out-of district guest without prior principal approval.
