OPENING STATEMENT OF SENATOR E. BENJAMIN NELSON, CHAIRMAN Senator NELSON. This is the first of the Strategic Forces Sub- committee hearings in review of the fiscal year 2012 budget re- quest. I’m going to go ahead and start with my opening statement. I think my ranking member is on his way. We have hearings now scheduled for April 6, which will address the strategic systems, bombers, intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM), and submarine launched ballistic missiles (SLBM); for April 13, which will address ballistic missile defense programs; and on May 4, which will address national security space programs. Today, we have with us Mr. Tom D’Agostino, the Administrator of the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).
