GREENFIELD HIGH SCHOOL 2021 GRADUATION CEREMONY CONTRACT

Because graduation is a milestone event in the lives of our students, we believe that the occasion should refect a level of decorum that is appropriate for a ceremony of this magnitude. Please read the following guidelines very carefully (we will cover these guidelines again in a video, completion of which is required to be able to register for graduation tickets).

❖ The Graduation Ceremony of the Greenfeld High School Class of 2021 will be held at 11:00am on Saturday June 12th, 2021 at Franklin Field at the Ballpark Commons (7044 S. Ballpark Dr., Franklin). Participation in the graduation ceremony is strictly voluntary. Any student who does not wish to participate may pick up his/her diploma in the school offce beginning Monday, June 14th.

❖ Each student will receive up to 4 guest tickets for graduation. Tickets will be distributed electronically by the Milwaukee Milkmen/Roc Ventures and will be scanned via a mobile device upon entry to Franklin Field. Due to COVID restrictions we will not be able to distribute extra tickets to graduation this year. We will be providing a professionally produced, multi-camera live stream of the event for additional friends and family to enjoy. The link for this stream will be shared as we get closer to the graduation date.

❖ In accordance with School Board policy, only students who have completed all course and credit requirements may participate in the ceremony. Students must fulfll all fnancial and disciplinary obligations no later than Wednesday, June 9th, at 3:00 P.M to participate.

❖ Graduation is a formal ceremony. Graduates will show proper respect and dignity for all speakers and activities throughout the ceremony. No noise makers, balloons, liquid string, beach balls or any other inappropriate "fun makers" will be allowed. It is encouraged that students do not carry cell phones during the ceremony. Any cell phone carried by a student must be powered down prior to the start of the ceremony. Graduates who behave inappropriately will be escorted out and prevented from taking part in the ceremony.

❖ As a formal event, there is a code required for the graduation ceremony:

➢ Young men will wear dress slacks (no or ), dress (no casual , crocs, fip fops, or rubber-soled athletic shoes), dress and a collared dress under their graduation . A necktie is recommended but not required.

➢ Young women will wear an appropriate dressy outft and proper dress shoes (no casual sandals, crocs, fip fops, rubber-soled athletic shoes, and no heels with a lift in the front of the ). As we will be walking on an artifcial grass surface please be mindful about the height and style of any high heels worn, as pointed heels may sink into the feld surface.

➢ The graduation gown cannot be altered in any way including, but not limited to, cutting, dyeing or writing on them. No written messages on mortarboards will be accepted.

❖ Graduates should only bring in what they can carry with them. Due to the off-site outdoor venue there will be no storage area available for students or guests. It is recommended that students do not carry cell phones with them during the graduation ceremony.

❖ Barring severe weather, our graduation ceremony will take place rain or shine. Students and the stage will be tented in case of rain, guests are encouraged to bring or other rain gear.

❖ Students who participate in senior pranks, vandalism or other activities disruptive to the school may not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony. It is expected that students maintain good attendance through their senior year. Excessive absences may also curtail a student’s ability to participate in the graduation ceremony.

❖ Students MUST participate in the entire graduation ceremony practice from 10:00am – 12:00pm on Friday June 11th (at GHS) in order to take part in the ceremony itself. Tickets for guests of students who did NOT complete the graduation practice will be cancelled and not be able to be scanned at the ceremony on Saturday.

If you wish to participate in the ceremony, both the graduate and a parent/guardian must view our graduation video and complete our graduation survey/quiz at https://eduvision.tv/l?emAAgRg. Up to 4 graduation tickets will be reserved per student based on completion of the video and submission of the survey/quiz., tickets will be distributed via email at a later date.
