Louis-Marie Fardet - Artist Bio and CV Born in Rochefort, France and then Parisian since the 90’s to attend a special unique high-school (Lycée Racine) for pre-professional level musicians (1990-93), Louis-Marie got accepted at the prestigious Paris Conservatory in 1992 in Philippe Muller’s Studio and graduated in 1996. L-M studied the following 2 years with Michel Strauss in “Perfectionnement” cello class. Louis-Marie continued his studies pursuing a Master for 2 years at Rice University (1999-2001) Then he came back to France in 2001 and became a tenured member of the prestigious Paris Opera Orchestra in 2002, 6 months only after winning the audition on a 10/10 Commitee vote. After a 5 years tenure in Opéra de Paris, Louis-Marie moved back in late 2006 to Houston, Texas and served as Assistant Principal Cellist for the Houston Grand Opera and Ballet until 2015, year he won the 4th chair position with the Houston Symphony. As part of his contract L-M has been acting principal cellist for the Houston Symphony Orchestra a couple weeks a year Teaching Experience: Louis-Marie is now an Aeyons faculty since May 2020. Louis-Marie has held a small private studio at home and helped numerous students from Middle school and High School to help them through all their school orchestra repertoire and All State & Region orchestra auditions. L-M has given numerous cello & ensemble lessons & Masterclasses at Sam Houston State University during the last 14 years he’s established in Texas. L-M is also a core cello faculty at the annual Texas summer String Camp. -

Durée : environ 7 minutes. Cette pièce peut être vue comme un court opéra. Elle utilise la translittération d’un ancien dialecte de Xi’an, ma ville natale, extrêmement puissant et musical qui, dans le parlé/chanté, se déploie en intervalles démesurés et en glissandi. J’avais été particulièrement fascinée par une voix que j’entendis chez un conteur qui chantait dans ce dialecte : c’était la voix sèche, comme affolée et pourtant très séduisante d’un vieil eunuque. -

Con la Orchestre de Paris asume el papel de asesor artístico en 2020/2021 y será su próximo director musical a partir de septiembre de 2022. Es, además, director invitado principal de la Orquesta Sinfónica de la Radio Sueca y director artístico del Festival de Música de Turku. Como artista exclusivo de Decca Classics, Klaus Mäkelä ha grabado el ciclo completo de sinfonías de Sibelius con la Filarmónica de Oslo como primer proyecto con el sello, que será editado en la primavera de 2022. Klaus Mäkelä inaugura la temporada 2021/2022 de la Filarmónica de Oslo este mes de agosto con un concierto especial interpretando el Divertimento de Bartók, el Concierto para piano nº 1 con Yuja Wang como solista, dos obras de estreno del compositor noruego Mette Henriette y Lemminkäinen de Sibelius. Press release – London, 9 October 2019 Orchestre de chambre de Paris : Lars Vogt, new Music Director Lars Vogt has been appointed Music Director of the Orchestre de chambre de Paris from 1 July 2020, for a 3-year term in agreement with the City of Paris and the ministry of Culture - Drac Ile-de-France. With Lars Vogt, the Orchestre de chambre de Paris has appointed a Music Director who is both an outstanding musician and an internationally acclaimed conductor. His presence further strengthens the orchestra’s original artistic approach and its roots in chamber music. This appointment is the result of a process that was begun more than a year ago by the Board of Directors of the Orchestre de chambre de Paris in constant dialogue with all their musicians. These positive exchanges led to a short list of four candidates including one female conductor on which all the musicians had an advisory vote. This rigorous procedure allowed the Board of Directors, meeting on 8 October 2019, to appoint Lars Vogt as the next Music Director of the Orchestre de chambre de Paris with the approval of the City of Paris and the ministry of Culture – Drac Ile-de-France. The appointment of Lars Vogt marks a new stage in the musical development begun by Douglas Boyd in 2015. Over the last five years, the Orchestre de chambre de Paris has seen a significant regeneration with 44% new players joining in this time. Today recognised as the most youthful orchestra in Paris, it is also the first professional French orchestra to have full gender equality. -

Pablo Ferrández-Castro, Cello Awarded the coveted ICMA 2016 “Young Artist of the Year”, and prizewinner at the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition, Pablo Ferrández is praised by his authenticity and hailed by the critics as “one of the top cellists” (Rémy Louis, Diapason Magazine). He has appeared as a soloist with the Mariinsky Orchestra, Vienna Symphony Orchestra, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, Stuttgart Philharmonic, Kremerata Baltica, Helsinki Philharmonic, Tapiola Sinfonietta, Spanish National Orchestra, RTVE Orchestra, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, and collaborated with such artists as Zubin Mehta, Valery Gergiev, Yuri Temirkanov, Adam Fischer, Heinrich Schiff, Dennis Russell Davies, John Storgårds, Gidon Kremer, Ivry Gitlis and Anne-Sophie Mutter. Más de 50 conciertos en los escenarios del Palacio de Festivales de Cantabria, en el Palacio de La Magdalena y en otras 22 localidades acercarán la Música con mayúsculas a todos los rincones de la Comunidad Autónoma para satisfacer a un público exigente y siempre ávido de manifestaciones culturales. Para esta tierra, es un privilegio la oportunidad de engrandecer su calendario cultural con un evento de tanta relevancia nacional e internacional. To Non-Governmental Organizations, Official partners of UNESCO Ref. : ERI/MSP/INO/2016/143 30 November 2016 Dear Partners, First of all, I wish to express great satisfaction for the successful organization of the Sixth International Forum of NGOs in official partnership with UNESCO held in Querétaro (Mexico) on 3 and 4 November last. I noted an excellent participation of our NGO official partners who strongly mobilized their local and regional branches. It was the first Forum to be held in Latin America and the largest Forum so far in terms of audience – it brought together around 800 participants. I am particularly pleased that, for the very first time, hundreds of young people from local high schools and universities joined this Forum and took part in the debate. The two-day discussions were held on the theme “From promoting to building Peace with NGOs”, a topic which lies at the heart of UNESCO’s mandate and of Sustainable Development Goal 16, which includes promoting peaceful and inclusive societies. The Forum emphasized the need for action, and the fact that peace cannot be a mere matter of policy making, but a process where the civil society is a full-fledged actor. I also wish to recall that we are fast approaching an important highlight in the cooperation between NGOs and UNESCO - the 2016 International Conference of Non-Governmental Organizations, which will be held at UNESCO Headquarters from 12 to 14 December on the theme “The challenge of the digital revolution for NGOs”. Your participation is essential, and I really hope that many of you will be present at this important event. -
