Jonathan Meese was always intrigued by myth and mythology and wove his work Οἱ μύθοι πάντοτε κινοῦσαν τὴν περιέργεια τοῦ Jonathan Meese, ὁ ὁποῖος ἔχει δομή- around the grand epic tales. The Artus legend, the Edda saga, the Odyssey, the story of σει τὴ δουλειά του γύρω ἀπὸ τὰ μεγάλα ἐπικὰ ἔργα. In his new exhibition at Bernier/Eliades, Meese presents mythological figures of the Στὴ νέα του ἔκθεση γιὰ τὴ Bernier/Eliades, ὁ Meese παρουσιάζει μυθολογικὲς φιγοῦρες North, the South, the East and the West in Athens, the city of the world-renowned τοῦ Βορρᾶ, τοῦ Νότου, τῆς Ἀνατολῆς καὶ τῆς Δύσης στὴν Ἀθήνα, πόλη τῆς παγκοσμίου Acropolis. For Meese the Acropolis, former religious and political centre of antique φήμης Ἀκρόπολης. Γιὰ τὸν Meese, ἡ Ἀκρόπολη, πρώην θρησκευτικὸ καὶ πολιτικὸ κέντρο Greece, is nowadays a synonym for pure art that survives the ideologies and real politics τῆς ἀρχαίας Ἑλλάδας, ἀποτελεῖ σήμερα συνώνυμο τῆς καθαρῆς τέχνης ποὺ ἐπιβιώνει τῶν of its time and that remains.
