ABOUT THIS REPORT The charts and tables in this publication are intended to provide aggregate and comparative data on healthcare facility utilization in the District of Columbia. The source of the data is the District of Columbia Hospital Association’s (DCHA) Monthly Utilization Survey and Quarterly Bed Capacity and Census Survey (self-reported by individual facilities). Data for 2014 may vary slightly from earlier publications due to clarification of data definitions and revisions of data by facilities.

ISSUED / APRIL / 2016 EMERGENCY Emergency Department visits have increased steadily in the District of AMBULATORY Ambulatory Surgeries Columbia. In 2015, there were 18,350 (6.6%) more visits than in 2014.
