Porsche Driver's Selection Link to Porsche Online Shop select MAGAZINE Porsche Driver’s Selection 02 | 2017 ABSOLUTE Collections: RS 2.7 | MARTINI RACING | #Porsche NOW Dazzling: the new 911 Collection select | EDITORIAL SNAPSHOTS Relaxing in your vacation cottage of an evening and being suddenly overcome by a sense of time standing still. Wrapping your fingers around the leather-clad steering wheel of your new sports car for the first time. Pressing down on the accelerator of your 911 and feeling the adrenaline flow through your body. What these situations have in common? They are all moments of that rare, intensive, here-and-now kind; snapshots destined to become lasting memories. They are the points in time at which we write history, be it sports car history or our own personal vacation story. At Porsche, we have used the 2017 vacation season to add a few precious snapshot moments to our own biography. We traveled to Gran Canaria with our fashion collection and, ever intrepid, tried our hand at sailing on the Atlantic Ocean. We also snuck a peek at the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur’s latest masterpiece, drawing inspiration from it for the new 911 Collection photo shoot. Sunny Florida was another of our stops. Here, we took the 911 speaker with us to the recently inaugurated Porsche Design Tower in Miami, filling the new space with our favorite songs and imbuing it with the feel of a real Porsche 911 GT3. In this select edition, we invite you to set sail with us on a journey full of unforgettable moments. We wish you an enjoyable read. On his mission to find a sea route to India in 1492, Christopher Columbus is said to have stopped in Gran Canaria, at the last Spanish port before his Atlantic crossing, to replenish his ships’ stocks. Out on the seas off the fishing port of Puerto de Mogán, we can sense some of the fervor that the great discoverer and his crew must have felt before setting sail. • Porsche Design Presents Unique Custom-Built Timepieces Program
Press Release July 2020 Porsche Design presents unique custom-built Timepieces program Individualized watches bring Porsche sports car excitement to the wrist Stuttgart. With the launch of a revolutionary program based on production principles utilized in Porsche sports car manufacturing, Porsche Design is taking the creation of exclusive Swiss wristwatches to the next level with the Porsche Design custom-built Timepieces program. This is the first time the concept of a fully customized timepiece, perfectly tailored to match one’s dream Porsche , will enter into series production. The centerpiece: The Porsche Design watch configurator The menu navigation and overall design of the new watch configurator are based on the well- established Porsche car configurator. Just like the Porsche 911 range, the watch is digitally visualized down to the smallest detail to provide customers with a realistic depiction of their dream timepiece. "The rendering model is based on CAD data from our designers at Studio F. A. Porsche in Zell am See and our engineers in Solothurn," says Rolf Bergmann, Managing Director of Porsche Design Timepieces AG. The features, including the pricing for each re- spective configuration, are displayed in real time. A basic custom-built Timepiece starts at $6,000 USD and, depending on the options selected, can range up to $12,500 and includes up to three additional leather straps. Orders are placed exclusively through Porsche dealers and delivery will take eight to 12 weeks. The program will be launched with all participating Porsche dealers in Germany on July 1, 2020, followed by the UK and U.S. on September 1, 2020.
