I am writing to announce that a new Anesthesiology Program, based at Ocala Regional Medical Center in Central , has just received initial accreditation from the ACGME for 27 positions and is seeking immediate applicants. Applications will be accepted very soon through ERAS and the NRMP program codes are indicated below. Qualified applicants will be selected for interviews. We are seeking applicants for PGY2 positions both in 2018 and 2019 and those accepted must have completed a prerequisite clinical year prior to starting date (preliminary, transitional).

The NRMP codes are: 1587040A0 (for current students to match this year and start 2019 after prerequisite year) 1587040R0 (called “Physician only positions” for physicians currently doing a perquisite year or who have completed in past)

This program is part of the University of Central Florida (UCF)-Hospital Corporation of America consortium and will accept 9 residents per year. The program will be directed by Dr. Ettore Crimi. Ocala Regional Medical Center in Ocala is a Level II Trauma Center and hosts several other residency programs including General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine and Transitional. Residents will also rotate to Osceola Regional Medical Center (Kissimmee in region), Regional Medical Center (Gainesville, FL) and Nemours Children’s Hospital-Orlando. The anesthesiology residency program is the 20th accredited UCF/HCA consortium program in Central Florida and residents will also work alongside residents from many specialties including Obstetrics and Gynecology and Neurology at the other participating sites. In addition to applying through ERAS, please contact Dr. Jacklyn Fuller at [email protected] or refer to the UCF/HCA Greater Orlando GME programs at https://med.ucf.edu/academics/graduate-medical-program/ .
