SUTER’S SUMMER CAMP 2013 Suter’s Hockey Camp 2013, in its 18th year, will be held at Capitol Ice in Middleton, WI. We offer camps for mite through high school aged players. July 8-12 – Squirt and PeeWee. July 29 – August 2 – PeeWee - Bantam. August 8-12 - Mites and Squirts. Our focus is on fundamentals and team play so each individual can improve their skills, gain confidence and agility, and become a valued and respected team player. Our goal is that you take away from our camp the skills necessary to be a better all-around player. Each one-week session will include off-ice training at Total Hockey of Madison Monday –Thursday and classroom/lecture time where we will discuss even more aspects of the game (small snack will be provided). COACHING STAFF Gary Suter Bob Suter 17-year NHL Defenseman with the Calgary Flames, Chicago Blackhawks and Member of the 1980 “Miracle on Ice” Olympic Gold Medal Hockey Team and San Jose Sharks. 1986 NHL Rookie of the Year and 5-time All-Star UW-Madison 1977 NCAA Championship team. Has coached youth hockey Defensemen in the National Hockey League, Olympic Medalist and USA in the Madison area for 28 years; served as head coach, East High School. Hockey Hall of Famer Also a member of both the 1998 and 2002 USA Currently manages Capitol Ice, serves as president of Madison Capitols, Olympic Hockey teams. Ltd., and coaches Madison Capitols AAA Midget team. Ryan Suter Garrett Suter 1st round draft pick (7th overall) of the Nashville Predators. Currently plays in A recent graduate and former captain at the University of Wisconsin - the NHL for the Minnesota Wild. Assistant Captain for the 2010 U.S. Olympic Stevens Point in the NCAA – NCHA Conference. Currently coaches the Silver Medal team. Madison Capitols Midget Majors Jake Suter Tyler Weigel Former Madison Capitol, played 2 years in the USHL, currently playing at 4 year letter winner at UW-Eau Claire, Coach for Madison Capitols UMass Lowell Midget Team Eric Lampe Josh Biser Steve Libert Former Madison Capitol. Played Junior hockey Former player at St. Olaf College. Currently head MHS Coach for 14 Years for the Chicago Steel of the USHL. Former of Total Hockey facility. 15+ years of Hockey player and a Graduate of Quinnipiac University. Coaching experience. Professional Skating Numerous College/Junior A players: Currently playing Pro hockey in the AHL for the Coach for Badger Men and Women, as well as Mike Johnson – Notre Dame, Moose Johnson – Norfolk Admirals. several other Collegiate and Pro Players.
