William Karlsson got the Golden Knights on the board midway through the first period with his 14th goal of the season. Vegas carried the one-goal lead into the intermission and Mark Stone added to it just 5:14 into the middle frame. In the third, Christian Fischer and Christian Dvorak scored to tie the game and send it to overtime. All-Time Against Wild The Golden Knights are 4-9-1 against the Minnesota Wild since the team's inception. Vegas captured its first win against Minnesota in Las Vegas, defeating the Wild, 3-2, on Dec. 17, 2019. The team dropped their only other meeting at Minnesota last season, falling 4-0 on Feb. 11, 2020. The two teams were scheduled to play on March 12, 2020, but the season was paused due to COVID-19. This season, the Golden Knights are 2-3-1 against the Wild.

Wild Comeback Victory The Golden Knights trailed the Minnesota Wild, 4-2, on March 1 in the late stages of the third period before tying the game in regulation & winning in overtime. It was the first time in the franchise's regular-season history they have overcome a multi-goal deficit in the third period to win the game. The Golden Knights did it one time prior in the NHL's Round Robin, defeating Dallas, 5-3 (Aug. 3, 2020). It was the 16th time the Golden Knights have overcome a multi-goal deficit in franchise history (including regular-season & playoffs).

X-Marks The Spot (x4) The Vegas Golden Knights are the fourth franchise in NHL history to make the playoffs in each of its first four seasons, following the Edmonton Oilers (13; 1980–1992), New York Rangers (9; 1927–1935) & St. Louis Blues (6; 1968–1973). Each club did so under different rules & circumstances, with only Vegas & Edmonton achieving the feat after the 1967-68 expansion season.

Block Party The Vegas Golden Knights are averaging 15.01 blocked shots per game this season, which ranks first in the NHL. The Golden Knights started the season having blocked at least 14 shots in the first eight games of the season, the second-longest such streak in team history (9 straight w/14+ blocked shots in Oct./Nov. 2017). Alec Martinez leads the team & ranks first in the NHL with 150 blocked shots this year. Including his last five games as a King before being traded to Vegas in February 2020, Martinez has blocked a shot in 64 straight games he’s played, the longest active streak in the NHL & the longest streak of his career (had a 59-game streak with LA from December 2, 2018 - January 4, 2020).

Stone Era Vegas forward Mark Stone recorded multiple points in five consecutive games (April 12-19), which is a career-best, & tied William Karlsson for the longest multi-point streak in VGK history. Karlsson recorded multiple points in five straight games Nov. 16-25, 2017. Stone has 57 points (20G, 37A) in 49 games this season. His 57 points rank tied for ninth in the NHL, while his 37 assists are tied for ninth in the NHL. He also ranks tied for second in the league with 51 takeaways & has recorded 652 total career takeaways, which leads the league since the beginning of the 2012 season. The Golden Knights have won 19 straight games when Stone scores a goal, the longest active winning streak by any NHL player when scoring a goal. He was named the NHL's 'Third Star' of the week ending April 18 after ranking second in the NHL with 3-5—8 in four games to lift the Golden Knights (31-11-2, 64 points) to a perfect week.

Mad Max! Vegas forward Max Pacioretty scored his 300th career goal against Los Angeles (April 12), becoming the 21st American to reach the 300 goal mark in a career. He also posted his 600th career point (an assist) against San Jose (April 21). Pacioretty has scored 24 goals this year, which is tied for eighth in the league. Four of those goals have come in overtime, which leads the NHL, & is one OT goal shy from tying the NHL record for most overtime goals in a season. Earlier this season, he posted his seventh career hat trick after potting three goals against St. Louis (Jan. 26). He leads all active U.S. born players in career hat tricks & ranks tied for ninth all-time points among American born players. His first 10 goals of the season came on home ice & he became the fourth player in as many seasons to score each of his first nine-plus tallies of a season at home, joining Nick Foligno (9 w/ CBJ in 2019- 20), Jesperi Kotkaniemi (11 w/ MTL in 2018-19) & Nick Bonino (12 w/ NSH in 2017-18).

Rockin' Robin Since joining the Vegas Golden Knights last season, goaltender Robin Lehner has a 15-2-2 record in the regular-season to go with a 1.98 goals-against average & a .925 save percentage. At T-Mobile Arena, he is 9-0-2 with a 2.05 goals-against average & a .925 save percentage. Lehner collected his second shutout as a Golden Knight against Anaheim (April 16) & it was his 16th career shutout. His lone regulation losses as a Golden Knight have come at Arizona (Jan. 22 &April 30).
