    Shalom le kulam, hallo alle zusammen, seit mehr als drei Monaten lebe ich nun in Israel und es wird Zeit, Ihnen und euch von meinen Erfahrungen hier zu berichten. Die Einsatzstelle: ALEH Negev – Nahalat Eran Das Dorf ALEH Negev ist eine Einrichtung für Menschen mit schweren und komplexen Beeinträchtigungen im Norden der israelischen Negevwüste. Neben Wohneinheiten für insgesamt 140 Residents befinden sich auf dem Gelände ein Krankenhausflügel für die, die eine medizinische Rundumbetreuung benötigen, ein integrativer Kindergarten, ein Hydrotherapiepool, eine Schule für die wenigen Kinder von ALEH Negev und viele auswärtige Schüler*innen, ein Streichelzoo und ein Reitzentrum sowie die Gebäude der Ta'asuka, also des Arbeitsplatzes der Bewohner*innen. Hinzu kommen Verwaltungsgebäude und die Räume für ambulante Therapien. Die meisten dieser Gebäude gruppieren sich um eine große Garten- oder Parkanlage. Die Residents erhalten in ALEH Negev die intensive Betreuung, die sie benötigen. Sie werden in ihrem Tagesablauf von Caregivern, israelischen und ausländischen Freiwilligen sowie Nurses und Therapeut*innen begleitet. Meine Arbeit Wie die meisten Freiwilligen bin ich in einem der Wohnhäuser eingesetzt. Davon gibt es fünf, zwei Männer- und zwei Frauenhäuser sowie ein gemischtes Haus, in dem auch ein paar Kinder leben. „Mein“ Haus, Beit Shachar, ist ein Männerhaus, dort leben dreiundzwanzig Männer im Alter von etwa zwanzig bis sechzig Jahren. Sie alle sind sowohl körperliche als auch geistige eingeschränkt, weswegen sie auf intensive Pflege und Betreuung angewiesen sind. Die Häuser sind in zwei Hälften unterteilt, in der jeweils zwei Gruppen von bis zu sechs Personen leben. Je zwei Residents teilen sich ein Schlafzimmer und zwei Schlafzimmer ein Badezimmer.

    1.Bericht ALEH Negev – Nahalat Eran ALEH Negev - Nahalat Eran ist eine Wohneinrichtung für Menschen mit multiplen Behinderungen in der Nähe der israelischen Kleinstadt Ofakim im Süden des Landes. Das Wohnheim bietet momentan für über 140 psychisch und physisch stark eingeschränkte Erwachsene und Kinder ein Zuhause. Das weitläufige Gelände besteht aus einem Kindergarten, einer Schule für Kinder und Jugendliche bis 21 Jahren, einem Krankenhaus, einem Rehabilitationszentrum, einem Streichelzoo und mehreren Wohnhäusern. Wir Freiwilligen werden hauptsächlich in den Wohnhäusern eingesetzt. Es gibt momentan zwei Frauenhäuser, zwei Männerhäuser und ein „gemischtes“ Haus, wo Kinder, Männer und Frauen zusammenleben. Jeder Freiwillige wird bei seiner Ankunft einem der Häuser zugeteilt und unterstützt dort die Pfleger und Bewohner im Alltag. In einem Wohnhaus leben circa 24 Bewohner. Diese teilen sich dort zu zweit ein Zimmer. Die Bewohner sind innerhalb ihres Wohnhauses in Gruppen von immer sechs unterteilt. Jeder Sechser- Gruppe ist ein Pfleger zugeteilt, der die Bewohner am Morgen duscht, ihnen beim Essen hilft und sie beim täglichen Programm begleitet. Unter der Woche (eine israelische Arbeitswoche dauert von Sonntag bis Donnertags) haben die Bewohner vormittags die Möglichkeit, sofern ihre physische und psychische Gesundheit dies zulässt, die Werkstätten zu besuchen. Dort arbeiten sie in Kleingruppen an verschiedenen Projekten. Sie stellen unteranderem Keramikfiguren her, verzieren diese und verpacken sie dann in Tüten und Boxen. Die Produkte, die die Bewohner herstellen, können auf der ALEH-Website käuflich erworben werden und werden sogar am Flughafen in Tel Aviv verkauft. Außerdem besuchen die Bewohner vormittags den Streichelzoo, die Pferde oder die Gartenanlage, um dort Pflanzen in Töpfe einzupflanzen und die Töpfe zu verzieren.

We’ll meet with Lavi Zamir, Managing Director of Green Rainwater Harvesting System Horizons, Israel’s elite youth leadership organization. During a tour of the school, Lavi will discuss the school’s efforts to educate students about Israel’s water crisis through interactive, hands‐on learning. We will see the school’s Rainwater Harvesting Program, a JNF project where runoff water is collected on school rooftops, held in tanks, and used for flushing toilets, cleaning, and irrigation. Afterward, we will continue to Gush Etzion. En route, we’ll stop at Park Adulam, a 12,500 acre JNF‐KKL park located in the Lower Judean foothills. Known for its beautiful scenery, plethora of vineyards, and its biodiversity, Park Adulam is a “biospheric” park that balances the needs of the environment with Park Adulam ruins the needs of the people who use it.

U zult Mij zoeken en vinden, wanneer u naar Mij zult vragen met heel uw hart. Ik zal door u gevonden worden, spreekt de Heer, Ik zal een omkeer brengen in uw gevangenschap en u bijeenbrengen uit alle volken en uit alle plaatsen waarheen Ik u verdreven heb, spreekt de Heere, en Ik zal u terugbrengen naar de plaats vanwaar Ik u in ballingschap heb gevoerd.’ Jeremia 29:11-14 Hoopvolle toekomst Hoop doet leven! Perspectief op een betere toekomst maakt ons verwachtingsvol. Ook zet het ons in beweging. Omdat wij een prachtig vooruitzicht hebben, komen we in actie. De apostel Petrus vatte dit allemaal samen met deze woorden: ‘Hij heeft ons opnieuw geboren doen worden tot een levende hoop.’ Hartelijk welkom bij deze uitgave van Israël Aktueel en deze prachtige bijlage, die we gemaakt hebben in verband met de Israëlzondag van 4 oktober 2020. Het thema van de bijlage is ‘hoop’. We hebben heel wat mensen – van jong tot oud – gevraagd naar hun gedachten bij dit thema. Ds. Willem Glashouwer werd geïnterviewd door Paola (23). Henk Binnendijk vertelt dat hij een hoopvol mens is als het gaat om Israël, maar ook waarom hij somber gestemd is ten aanzien van de kerk in het Westen.
