SkyTeam celebrates first anniversary of its Exclusive Lounge in Istanbul Alliance set to increase number of dedicated SkyTeam lounges offered worldwide ISTANBUL, July 16, 2014 – SkyTeam, the global airline alliance, has marked the first anniversary of its Exclusive Lounge at Istanbul’s Atatürk International Airport. Available to SkyTeam Elite Plus, First and Business Class customers flying from Istanbul on the 10 member airlines serving the airport, the lounge has welcomed more than 77,000 passengers through its doors in the first 12 months since it was opened. Building on the success of its facilities in Istanbul and London’s Heathrow Airport, SkyTeam will be increasing the number of Exclusive Lounges offered worldwide. The alliance will open a new lounge in Sydney towards the end of this year, with one in Dubai set to open early in 2015.
