St Cuthbert Mayne School Joint Catholic and Church of England 11-18 Comprehensive School Dioceses of Plymouth and Exeter Headteacher Trumlands Road Mr Peter S Brown Torquay Devon TQ1 4RN Tel: (01803) 328725 Email: [email protected] www.st-cuthbertmayne.co.uk th 13 November, 2018 To parents/carers of all students in Years 7 – 11 Dear Parents/Carers, th On Friday of this week, 16 November, we are holding a non-uniform day in support of ’Children in Need’. All students are asked to come to school without uniform on that day and pay a £1 donation for the privilege of wearing their non-uniform clothes. This year we have opted for a ‘spotty’ theme for this non-uniform day, if your child has an item of clothing which is spotty; please encourage them to wear it to show their support for ‘Children in Need’. Please could I request your support by sending your child with a £1 donation. This will be given to the Form Tutor in Ready2Learn time. May I remind you that students should not wear any item of clothing which is deemed offensive or immodest and must be suitable for a day’s work in school. Piercings should not be worn because of health and safety issues and your child should not be restricted in taking a full part in lessons because of the clothes he / she is wearing on that day. Please note that P.E kit must be bought in for those who have a timetabled P.E lesson on that day. Year 11 students who have a mock interview on this day must come to school in their smart work-like attire. I am sure the students will all enjoy the day and thank you in advance for your support. Yours Sincerely, Mr C. Horrocks Director of Key Stages 3 & 4 CHRIST IS OUR CORNERSTONE. LEARNING IS OUR FOCUS. .
