Solemnity of Christ the King the of Christ Solemnity Nov. 22, 2020 Nov. The Parish Offices close on November 24 at 1pm and reopen on November 30 at 8:30am. Saint Petronille Catholic Parish November 22, 2020 Page Follow St. Petronille: www.stpetschurch.org November 16, 2020 Fr. Thomas Milota Dear Parishioners of Saint Petronille, Church Changes to Covid-19 Restrictions As you know, Governor Pritzger has tightened restrictions on restaurants and some other businesses in certain counties including DuPage County. These restrictions, at this point, do not apply to schools and churches in most respects. The churches of the Diocese of Joliet will continue to operate under the present restrictions including limiting attendance in our main church building to 80 and the PLC to an additional 80 people, social distancing in seating and reception of communion, hand sanitizing and the sanitizing of facilities after every Mass. The Diocese has, however, asked us to limit other in-person meetings to no more than 10 people socially distance by 6 feet. Therefore, any parish/school meetings which are not Mass or classroom environments should be done by virtual meeting platforms like Zoom. Thank you for your kind cooperation and patience. If there are any further changes, we will inform you as soon as we know. Hello from the Christian Services Desk!! I just wanted to send out a request for help!! Our friends and neighbors in DuPage County are doing so much to try and help families this holiday season, especially those who are homeless and we have some ways that you can help!! PADS is in great need of help right now! The shelter sites which had been closed have reopened on a limited basis and they are very much in need of volunteers to help provide food and onsite volunteers to help guests feel safe and welcome. As our PADS representative Mary Kay Mutz says, once you help out you will be hooked!! If this has ever been on your heart to help those who are homeless please consider reaching out to Mary Kay Mutz at [email protected]. PADS is also housing a great number of children in the shelter system right now, families are very much affected by homelessness and PADS is working tirelessly to help them. I think that we can help make Christmas special for these families. I would like to collect tabletop Christmas trees (artificial ones) as well as stocking for these families. If you are interested in helping me with this project, please email ASAP at [email protected]. Thank you for considering helping with PADS, they need our help more than ever. May Almighty God bless you and keep you. Prayers. In Christ, Fr. Thomas Milota November 22, 2020 Page 2 Solemnity of Christ the King CCW’s annual Adopt-a-Family program is right around the corner!
