Clematis

Thanks to Mike Brown of Clematis Corner we are able to offer an exciting range of Clematis seed, both of and interesting cultivars that are known to produce good offspring.

Clematis campaniflora ex‘Lisboa’ – a climber with wonderful blue/purple blooms in profusion in summer and autumn. Good looking seeds. 3-5 m. 2.50

fusca – from a red/brown version with larger than normal . Herbaceous climber to 3m. Strikingly different. 3.00

heraclifolia mixture – from over a dozen forms of this lovely herbaceous perennial. White to blue to dark purple tubular and often scented flowers. Late summer and autumn. 1 - 1.5m. 2.50

heraclifolia – dwarf blues and pinks. Small tubular flowers on low growing plants. 25-50cms. very attractive and unusual. 3.00

integrifolia mixture – from at least 20 types including whites, pinks, blues, purples, bicolor and scented forms. Summer and autumn. Attractive seed heads. 0.5 - 1.5m. 2.50

intricata – a deciduous climber with similar bells to C. tanguitica but in attractive red and orange shades. Autumn. Lovely silky seed heads. 1 - 3m. 3.00

ladhakiana – a deciduous climber with glaucous green very narrow leaflets. Yellow to orange bells flecked with dark red. Good seed heads. 2 - 3m. 3.00

rehderiana – cowslip shaped and cowslip scented creamy- yellow flowers in profusion. Vigorous and unbelievably floriferous. 3-4m. 2.50

viticella mixture – from 20 plus cultivars of all colours shapes and sizes. Summer and autumn. 2 - 3m. 2.50

spp. From the USA – an exciting mix of species that hybridize readily including C. crispa, glaucophylla, reticulata, versicolor texensis and viorna. All produce gorgeous flowers from pure white through all shades of pink, red, blue and purple. Most will have urn shaped flowers and good seed heads. 2 - 3m. 3.00

ex ‘Buckland Beauty’ – a texensis hybrid with pink, shiny urn shaped flowers in profusion. An herbaceous climber to 2 - 3m. 2.50

ex ‘Burford Bell’ - a with fleshy rolled back sepals and urn shaped flowers of purple/blue. A real eye catcher. An herbaceous climber to 3m. 3.00

ex – ‘Myofuku’ – named after a Japanese temple which means sublime bliss. A texensis hybrid with deep pink and cream urn shaped flowers. A stunning plant with good seed heads. 2.50

ex ‘Shillingford Lanterns’ – a very fine tangutica hybrid with many large yellow bells followed by fluffy seed heads that remain until March. 2 - 3m. 2.50

Abutilon vitifolium a large very floriferous shrub with big lilac to white flowers. 2.00 Aconitum episcopale – a deep blue climbing Aconitum, up to 2.5metres A very choice and well behaved plant 3.00 helmslyanum ex ‘Red Wine’- a climbing monkshood to 2m. Produces some very good coloured seedlings. 3.00 Akebia quinata – the spring flowering chocolate – good fruits. 2.00 Anemone rivularis – a fine white with blue backs. A very usful garden plant. 2.00 Antirrhinum siculum – a very perennial prettily marked snapdragon. 2.50 Aquilegia caerulea var citrina – a wonderful yellow form of the Rocky Mtns. ‘Granny’s bonnet’. 2.50 Astrantia minor – the prettiest little masterwort. Up to 30 cms. 2.50 Codonopsis (also see Pseudocodon – now split off from Codonopsis) benthamii – a large leaved twiner with narrow flared green bells, cream and red inside. 3.00 bomiensis (syn. C. rotundifolia var. angustifolia) – yellow flowers netted heavily with purple veins. 2.50 cardiophylla – herbaceous with purple striped blue bells 2.50 kawakamii – distinct climber with long yellow /green bells. 2m. 2.50 clematidea – a non-climber. Pale blue bells with darker blue veins.
