Motor Neurone Disease Association

Motor Neurone disease (MND) is a fatal rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord. It attacks the nerves that control movement so muscles no longer work. It can leave people locked in a failing body, unable to move, talk, swallow and eventually breathe. MND kills six people per day in the UK. It affects up to 5,000 adults in the UK at any one time. It has no cure.

The MND Association is the only charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland focused on MND care, research and campaigning. We rely almost entirely on vol- untary donations. Our 5,000 plus active volunteers are the lifeblood of the Asso- ciation. Their hard work and dedication allows us to reach out to more people liv- ing with MND, offering compassion, help and support when it is needed most. Our 9,000 members, are the driving force behind our work. They provide funding, volunteer and campaign on our behalf.

Because we are here, no-one has to face MND alone. Find out how you can sup- port our work, at www.mdnassociation.org, or contact our local fundraising group in North , which meets once a month, on 01769 572681. RIVERSIDE Caravan & Camping Park
