This month issue we would like to focus on South China. Globelink has 10 offices in South China and we will zero in on the major base ports: , , and .

Shenzhen

Shenzhen, located at the center of the Delta and other provinces in South China, maximize the potential of Globelink Shenzhen. We offer regular inland trucking from other parts of the cities to channel via Shenzhen-bound shipments with fast and convenient service, including local customs declaration to ease the export process of the customers. Globelink Shenzhen is one of the most prominent logistics companies in the whole province market and we have over 7 representatives as listed below:

Guangzhou

Since 2008, there is continuous growth in Guangzhou office’s cargo volume after building up various export services from different terminals in Guangzhou. We offer direct service from Huangpu terminal, Jiaoxin/Huangpu via service, One Dragon (all-in) service and so on. Guangzhou office has become one of the most competitive players in the market. Currently we are one of the Top 3 NVOCCs in Guangzhou market. We are operating at four warehouses in Guangzhou: 2

Baiyun

1. Jiaoxin Changtong warehouse (Trucking to Shenzhen and feeder to Hong Kong)

2. Jiaoxin Longhu warehouse (One Dragon/ All-in Services)

Huangpu district

3. Huangpu Wuchong warehouse (Direct service and feeder to Hong Kong)

4. Huangpu Zhuangyuangu warehouse (One Dragon/ All-in Services)

There are two Customs Authorities in Guangzhou, namely Guangzhou Customs and Huangpu Customs.

THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HUANGPU AND JIAOXIN PORT:

At Huangpu port, we are required to stuff the container prior to customs declaration, as such, if there is any shipment being held by the customs, it will affect the entire shipment in that container and thus the cargo's sailing schedule may change.

At Jiaoxin Port, we are required to stuff the container after customs declaration. If there is any shipment that failed to receive approval from customs on the declaration, it does not affect the remaining shipments in the same consol box.

XIAMEN/ FUZHOU

Xiamen is an island city. As one of the five earliest special economic zones, with heavy investment from and Hong Kong, it has been a city growing in strength.

The Port of Xiamen is an important deep water port located at the mouth of the Jiulongjiang River on the southern coastline of province in the People's Republic of China (PRC). It is one of the trunk line ports in the Asia-Pacific region. It is ranked the 8th largest container port in the PRC.

COMPREHENSIVE SERVICE COVERAGE

Globelink Guangzhou offers regular direct service from Huangpu to some of the basic ports such as Barcelona, Colombo, Istanbul, and Hong Kong.

Globelink Xiamen offers direct services to Asia, Europe, Mediterranean, East Coast South America, and also Indian Sub-continent. Fuzhou acts as a complement port for supporting Xiamen as there is regular feeder service from Fuzhou to Xiamen. This enables us to offer the shortest transit time for cargo out of Fuzhou (where there is direct service from Xiamen). Alternatively, Fuzhou would channel the cargo to the respective hubs (Hong Kong/ Singapore/ Busan/ Barcelona) to reach the cargo to the rest of the world.

Globelink Shenzhen, as the hub for Guangdong province, not only handles regular consolidation cargo but also provide unique service for cargoes without normal custom clearance documents, and have daily truck service to Hong Kong. Guangzhou: We offer direct services to the following destinations:

- Huangpu to Europe, Middle East, SEA and South America - Jiaoxin to Shenzhen by trucking - Offer One Dragon (All-in) trucking from Guangzhou/Huangpu to Shenzhen and Hong Kong

Fuzhou: We have daily trucking service ex Fuzhou to Xiamen

Shenzhen: We are the only one in the market offering direct services to the following destinations:

- Paranagua - Itajai - Guayaquil - Limassol

IT CAPABILITIES

Globelink South China is equipped with WeChat system to provide a platform to customers to enquire about rates, POD charges, sailing schedule, etc by mobile phone at anytime and anywhere. Furthermore, our E-business module could also provide online features such as rates/ sailing schedule checking, booking, Track & Trace. This enables us to be at the frontier of modern technology development, to improve our productivity, and also to fulfill customers’ needs and satisfaction.

Currently, all our China offices have resumed full operations. In view of the evolving situation of the COVID-19 around the world, all Globelink and GCA members have implemented Business Continuity Planning to ensure service continuity.
