Arts initiative “With the Stool..."
The project essence: Realization of all people through the world aspiration for love and freedom, sincere and straight forward communication, notwithstanding big politics environment, by means of culture and freedom. Result: Creation of international “the Stool Highway”. This time people from Ukraine, Russia, Byelorussia, Poland, France, Finland, Lithuania will carry stools to the ocean. At the Pacific Ocean shore will be established at once 5 stool monuments.
The project motto: „This is what we call Freedom!” The human freedom and the freedom of a creative person, who gained the right and gift to create from God. The power and culture: „With the Stool...” has a wide world scale and ambitions, but at the same time remains deeply national in its heart and spirit. Documentary materials and movies, obtained from already realized expeditions, are a product and masterpiece of cultural interchange and can serve to the propaganda of Ukrainian input into the world culture. With the Stool to the Ocean!
Pre-history
In the year of 2005 a Ukrainian traveler Leonid Kanter decided to carry 4 Stools from his Kyiv kitchen to the 4 world oceans.
An undoable dream – at fist sight. Still since then the Stool monuments were established at the 3 oceans’ shores. With the Stool to the Ocean!
Pre-history
In 2005 the Stool monument was established at the Atlantic ocean shore, La Roshel city (France)
In 2006 – the Stool monument was established at the Indian ocean shore, Kirinda settlement (Shri Lanka)
In 2007 – at the Arctic ocean shore, Longyearbyen (Shpitzbergen isl).
In March 2010 – the 4 th Stool starts its way to the 4th ocean… With the Stool to the Ocean! With the Stool to the Ocean!

This project: Is a good opportunity for the cultural dialogue between our Homeland and the countries of the American continent.
It provides a possibility of a deep inspection, and henceforward a collaboration of successors of the ancient cultures.
We respect deeply the another countries cultures and carry ours to them to connect all in brotherly creation. Our Objectives!

22.08.2009. Kyiv, Khreshaty park: press conference dedicated to the plastic garbage in the public places of the Kyiv city gathering. These bottles were used to make floats for the arts expedition “With the Stool along Desna river”. Nine Festivals
This time Stools will be carried to the ocean by Ukrainians, Russians, Byelorussians, Lithuanians, Poland and French people, Fins.
All these groups are moving in one direction but by their own routes: Byelorussians, for instance, have chosen Japanese culture instead of Alaska. Russians decide to organize open street shows in USA Eastern shore and Ukrainians – in USA Western shore
Still there will be places where all these people will get together and organize unbelievable street performances and festivals, which will go on for 4 days.

Arts initiative “With the Stool” on air
The activity of the arts initiative “With the Stool” has a positive image in the view of Ukrainian and world mass media. In all media events, organized by “With the Stool”, there are a lot of journalists (sometimes editors) from “Culture”, “Society” branches or orderly TV groups, which usually result in TV spots in the “News” programs.
