TABLEAUX CHRONOLOGIQUES INTRODUCTION TABLEAUX CHRONOLOGIQUES 年代表 INTRODUCTION Le premier tableau donne une vue d’ensemble de la chronologie de l’histoire de Chine depuis les temps les plus anciens. Le second présente, dynastie par dynastie, les noms des souverains, leurs dates et leurs 年號 nianhao. La chronologie chinoise présente des particularités qu’il importe de signaler. CHRONOLOGIE LONGUE ET CHRONOLOGIE COURTE Il existe, depuis les temps anciens, deux chronologies pour l’histoire de la haute antiquité chinoise. L’une est dite « chronologie longue » car elle attribue aux événements des dates plus anciennes. La seconde est dite « chronologie courte ». Ainsi, pour l’empereur 堯 Yao, la première donne la date de 2357 et la seconde 2145. 1 TABLEAUX CHRONOLOGIQUES INTRODUCTION La première est celle que suit le 通鑑綱目 Tong Jian Gang Mu, Abrégé du miroir universel, composé par 朱喜 Zhu Xi. La seconde est basée sur le 竹書紀年 Zhu Shu Ji Nian, Annales sur bambou. Toutes ces dates sont très hypothétiques et les personnages mentionnés sont d’autant plus proches de la légende que l’on s’éloigne dans le temps. Mais il existe une tradition que l’on ne peut ignorer. La date de la victoire des Zhou sur les Shang a donné lieu à de nombreuses controverses. La chronologie dite longue, basée sur le 三統曆 San Tong Li, donne la date de 1122 A.C. La chronologie dite courte, basée sur le 竹書紀年 Zhu Shu Ji Nian, donne celle de 1050. Diverses autres dates ont été proposées. La grande majorité des historiens, se basant en partie sur des recherches astronomiques, adopte 1050 A.C. -

Au bord de l'eau Au bord de l'eau (chinois simplifié : 水浒传 ; chinois traditionnel : 水滸傳 ; pinyin : Shuǐ hǔ Zhuàn ; Wade : Shui³ hu³ Zhuan⁴, EFEO Chouei-hou tchouan, littéralement « Le Récit e des berges ») est un roman d'aventures tiré de la tradition orale chinoise, compilé et écrit par plusieurs auteurs, mais attribué généralement à Shi Nai'an (XIV siècle). Il relate les Au bord de l'eau exploits de cent huit bandits, révoltés contre la corruption du gouvernement et des hauts fonctionnaires de la cour de l'empereur. Auteur Shi Nai'an Ce roman fait partie des quatre grands romans classiques de la dynastie Ming, avec l'Histoire des Trois Royaumes, La Pérégrination vers l'Ouest et Le Rêve dans le Pavillon Rouge. Pays Chine Sa notoriété est telle que de nombreuses versions ont été rédigées. On peut comparer sa place dans la culture chinoise à celle des Trois Mousquetaires d'Alexandre Dumas en France, Genre roman ou des aventures de Robin des Bois en Angleterre. L'ouvrage est la source d'innombrables expressions littéraires ou populaires, et de nombreux personnages ou passages du livre servent à symboliser des caractères ou des situations (comme Lin Chong, seul dans la neige, pour dépeindre la rectitude face à l'adversité, ou Li Kui, irascible et violent mais dévoué à Version originale sa mère impotente, pour signaler un homme dont les défauts évidents masquent des qualités cachées). On retrouve, souvent sous forme de pastiche, des scènes connues dans des Langue chinois vernaculaire publicités, des dessins animés, des clips vidéo. L'illustration de moments classiques de l'ouvrage est très fréquente en peinture. -

Abstract Approaches to cultural factors involved in translating the nicknames of one hundred and eight main characters in Outlaws of the Marsh or All Men are Brothers, with strong Chinese cultural characteristics may be divided into two methods: SL (Source Language) culture-oriented or foreignization and TL (Target Language) culture- oriented or domestication and a good translation version should find a reasonable “meeting point” because the purpose of translating such classic literary work is not only to make foreigners know Chinese culture but also to make them appreciate and understand the novel under the condition of the readability of the novel. Key words: cultural factors; literary translation; foreignization; domestication I. The Artistic Charm of Main Characters’ Nicknames in Shui Hu Chuan (Outlaws of the Marsh or All Men Are Brothers) In Shui Hu Chuan, there are one hundred and eight brave fellows assembling in Liang Shan Marsh. They were from different social stratum at that time and they are all people’s idealistic heroes. Shi Nai’an, the author of the novel is a master of creation and a master of giving nicknames as well. Lifelike brave fellows and their nicknames become a unified entity. After reading the novel, one will feel that Shui Hu Chuan is really a picture gallery of a superb collection of characters while a nickname is the pupil of every picture. -

It is driven by a double aspiration, and aims to bridge gaps in two main fields of literature. The first aspiration is a historical one: I offer a fine historical account of the “cut-out generation” as a slice of 1990s Chinese society, which remained overlooked in Chinese studies. The second aspiration is a theoretical one: I interrogate existing theories and concepts in the larger field of cultural studies, including music and materiality, subculture and profanity, regime of value and structure of feeling, with evidence found in this Chinese case, and point toward a comprehensive framework for the analysis of subcultural politics. -

The Water Margin and the Romance of the Three Kingdoms were once engraved together into Yingxiongpu in the Ming dynasty. Compared with the orthodox heroism of "salvation of the world" expressed in Romance of the Three Kingdoms, the heroism in Water Margin embodies the distinct characteristics of the times, more affected by townsfolk's ideas, tending to take self-value as its core and pursuing maximized spiritual and material interest, which presents the new characteristics that go against the traditional concept of hero. The Water Margin [1] and the Romance of the Three Kingdoms have been engraved together as Yingxiongpu in Ming dynasty. "Water Margin and the Romance of the Three Kingdoms" tell a lot of stories about wisdom and loyalty, buyers regret that two books are not issued together [2] It is thus clear that what this two books have in common is that they create numerous portraits of heroes bearing the characteristics of wisdom and loyalty. The difference is the heroes created in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms are all generals and ministers, while the heroes created in Water Margin are mostly from the underworld, including farmers, fishermen, butchers, the executioners, junior officers and so on. Therefore, the concept of civilian class has a deeper influence on the heroism in Water Margin, reflecting the distinct characteristics of the times.
