Our Mission

The Council of Korean Americans (CKA) is a national nonpartisan, nonprofit organization of Korean American leaders. Our mission is to assert a strong, clear voice on issues of critical importance to Korean Americans and to support their full participation in all aspects of American life.

Our Vision and Values

. We believe in the promise of America and in the talent and commitment of Korean Americans that makes this promise a reality.

. We believe in leadership, public service, mentorship, and collaboration.

. We believe in a future in which all Americans have the opportunity to serve their country, lead their communities, and work proactively to create a better world.

About Us

A group of Korean American leaders from a wide variety of fields came together in 2007 to address a common concern that despite the constructive efforts of many Korean American organizations, the voices of Korean Americans have yet to be fully heard in our country.

The Council of Korean Americans (CKA) represents a new endeavor to empower Korean Americans by bringing together accomplished and passionate individuals who are able to assert their voices effectively on a national level. We believe that Korean Americans now possess the critical mass, resources, and networks to become a major force for positive change in America. To that end, we seek to build a diverse, coast-to- coast membership, comprised of those who have not only demonstrated leadership and success in their fields, but also a commitment to working collaboratively for a larger purpose.

We at CKA recognize that all of us have benefited from the sacrifice and progress of many who came before us. We are dedicated to fulfilling the aspirations of our predecessors, giving back to our communities, and creating opportunities for future generations of Korean Americans.
