THE ANGUS COUNCIL (GOWANBANK, LUNANHEAD, MUIRHEAD AND ROAD, ) (VARIATION OF SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 201X

Angus Council hereby proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purposes of:-

(1) amending the speed limit from 60MPH to 30MPH on B9113 Forfar - Montrose Road at Gowanbank from a point 75 metres or thereby east of its east junction with Dunnichen Avenue eastwards for a distance of 125 metres or thereby.

(2) amending the speed limit from 60MPH to 40MPH at the following locations:-  A926 Kirriemuir Road Forfar from a point 445 metres or thereby west of its junction with the west exit from Forfar Community Campus westwards for a distance of 500 metres or thereby;  B9113 Forfar - Montrose Road at Gowanbank from a point 200 metres or thereby east of its east junction with Dunnichen Avenue eastwards for a distance of 200 metres or thereby;  B9134 Forfar - Road at Lunanhead from a point 100 metres or thereby southwest of its junction with Restenneth Place southwestwards for a distance of 200 metres or thereby; and  B954 Road Muirhead from a point 320 metres or thereby west of the junction with Coupar Angus Road (A923) northwestwards for a distance of 300 metres or thereby;

(3) promoting pedestrian and traffic safety and free traffic flow.

Any person may, within 21 days from 10 August 2018, object to the proposed Order by notice in writing to Head of Infrastructure, Angus Council, Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar DD8 1AN or by email to [email protected]. Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate, and the grounds on which they are made.
