Bylo to v minulosti a zĤstane to tak i v budoucnu. PĜispívají k tomu stále se zvyšující teploty, doprovázení obdobími sucha, jež negativnČ ovlivĖují jeho živnou rostlinu – smrk. V poslední dobČ narĤstá jeho výskyt od Švýcarska, pĜes Bavorsko a Rakousko. Také v ýeské republice se zvýšil jeho výskyt v roce 2003 témČĜ pČtkrát proti roku 2002. Tato setkání si získala u lesnické veĜejnosti velkou pozornost a prestiž. Je to nejen tím, že svým pojetím pĜesnČ vystihuje dlouhodobost lesních procesĤ a zámČrĤ lesníkĤ, na které þasto jedna generace lesníkĤ nestaþí, ale hlavnČ proto, že poĜadatelé velice peþlivČ a šĢastnou rukou volí každoroþnČ témata setkání. Nastupující kĤrovcová gradace (a v nČkterých oblastech až kalamita) nás pĜekvapuje svou mimoĜádnou rychlostí. Gradace vznikla po dlouhých šesti letech klidu, ve kterých bylo historicky evidováno nejménČ kĤrovcového dĜíví - roþnČ vþetnČ lapákĤ v prĤmČru 150 tis.m3. Objem kĤrovcového dĜíví 0,20m3 na 1 ha, který je považován za základní stav, byl v uplynulém období s velkou rezervou dodržován na celém území ýR, s výjimkou þásti Slezska a severní Moravy, kde se vyskytuje lýkožrout severský a lesĤ sousedících s Národním parkem Šumava. Dva klimatické extrémy- mimoĜádné srážky, povodnČ v r.2002 ( napĜ.TĜeboĖsko) a naopak extrémní sucho a vysoké teploty v r.2003 (vČtší þást naší republiky, zejména podhorské oblasti) rozbČhly gradaci, která je mimoĜádnČ rychlá, a proto vzbuzuje oprávnČnČ naše obavy. ýím je tato oþekávaná kalamita výjimeþná oproti historickým kalamitám ? TČch rozdílĤ bude jistČ více a budou rozebrány v následujících odborných referátech, ale hlavní rozdíl je v tom, že se rozvíjí v lesích, které jsou plošnČ oslabeny suchem. Poslední kĤrovcové kalamity vznikly jako následek vČtrných polomĤ, tzn., že lesy po vyþistČní od polomového dĜíví byly více ménČ zdravé s normální vitalitou a odolností proti kĤrovcĤm. Dnes jsou lesy po loĖském extrémním poþasí celoplošnČ poškozené a jejich vitalita a odolnost proti kĤrovcĤm je neobyþejnČ snížena Tento stav nelze ani dobĜe napravit vytČžením oslabených stromĤ, protože naprostá vČtšina stromĤ je pĜísuškem oslabena a lesník nerozezná stromy ménČ þi více extrémním poþasím oslabené. Z historie kĤrovcových kalamit máme jen dva podobné pĜípady. KĤrovcovou kalamitu vyvolanou extrémnČ suchým rokem 1947 a kĤrovcové kalamity v imisemi poškozených lesích. Na pĜíkladu tČchto kalamit si musíme uvČdomit mimoĜádnou obtížnost tlumení gradace a likvidace souþasné kalamity. PĜi likvidaci kĤrovcové kalamity ze sucha 1947 byla velkým ochranáĜským problémem atraktivita lapákĤ. SamozĜejmČ, že existovaly obrovské problémy organizaþní, pracovní a hospodáĜské (vysídlení pohraniþí, nedostatek kvalitních pracovníkĤ atd.), ale v porostech postižených suchem byly všechny stromy více ménČ atraktivní pro kĤrovce, a proto pokácené lapáky nestahovaly kĤrovce z porostĤ na lapáky tak dobĜe jak na to lesníci byli zvyklí a nauþeni ze škol. Dalším problémem bylo, že k úhynu smrkĤ staþily pomČrnČ slabé nálety broukĤ. PĜi kĤrovcových kalamitách v imisních oblastech (hlavnČ v Jizerských horách v polovinČ osmdesátých let) vznikal podobný problém. Vzhledem k plošnému poškození smrkových porostĤ imisemi byly lapáky þasto málo atraktivní, rychle zavadaly, nebo ještČ þastČji docházelo v kĤĜe ke kvašení (lapáky pĜímo páchly). Tehdy se to Ĝešilo masovým nasazením feromonových lapaþĤ a nČkdy dovozem smrkových lapákĤ z nižších imisemi nepoškozených lokalit. Lesníci byli þasto pĜi vyhledávání brouka dezorientováni, protože se brouk znovu neobjevil na kĤrovcové stČnČ jak pĜedpokládali Tam totiž vlivem postupujících imisí již stromy nebyly pro lýkožrouta atraktivní a objevil se uvnitĜ porostĤ, kde stromy nebyly imisemi tolik poškozeny. Použil jsem tyto pĜíklady proto, aby bylo jasné, že tlumit kĤrovce pĜi této gradaci nebude jednoduché. ZároveĖ se musíme pĜiznat, že v loĖském roce jsme na mnoha místech reagovali pozdČ a kĤrovec nás pĜedbČhl hlavnČ svojí rychlostí vývoje a poþetním rĤstem populace. Máme ovČĜené pĜíklady, kdy ze dvou 6 zapomenutých vývratĤ z r.2002 kĤrovec do konce záĜí 2003 napadl 100 smrkĤ. Rychlost vývoje jednotlivých generací je záležitost poþasí (hlavnČ teploty), poþetní rĤst populace však závisí hlavnČ na odolnosti smrku. To prognózuje, že i v tomto roce musíme obávat mimoĜádnČ rychlé gradace, lépe Ĝeþeno kalamity. Co musíme udČlat a co dČláme pro ztlumení gradace x V roce 2003 jsme provedli rekognoskaþní lety nad nejpostiženČjšími oblastmi za úþasti státní správy, ale i odborných lesních hospodáĜĤ. Lety se osvČdþily a v tomto roce jsou opČt naplánovány. x Ministerstvo zemČdČlství vydalo „Rozhodnutí“(31.10.2003), které naĜizuje vlastníkĤm lesĤ provést opatĜení v ochranČ lesa a zároveĖ byly vydány „doporuþené technologické postupy pĜi ochranČ lesa proti kĤrovcĤm“. x Výzkumný ústav lesního hospodáĜství a myslivosti a Lesní ochranná služba provádí instruktáže vlastníkĤ lesĤ, odborných lesních hospodáĜĤ, státní

The work has been divided into two closely related parts. In the first part (TAXONOMY) the ecological results obtained by families (31) and species (304) are exposed. Lowest and highest altitude of capture of each species are given. In the second part (ECOLOGY) the habitats (36) with the taxonomical results obtained in each case are shown. In both cases, a commentary of the most important results is made. Finally, a study of both parts (TAXONOMY and ECOLOGY) is made, for each one, to have a global view of the results.

Abstract. The spatio-temporal variability of necrophagous fly assemblages in a linear series of habitats from central London to the rural surroundings in the south-west was studied using bottle traps between June 2001 and September 2002. A total of 3314 individuals in 20 dipteran families were identified from 127 sampling occasions. Calliphoridae accounted for 78.6% of all the dipteran speci- mens, with Calliphora vicina Robineau-Desvoidy, being the most abundant spe- cies (2603 individuals, 46.9%). Using canonical correspondence analyses (CCA) on 72 fly taxa, six sampled sites and 36 environmental variables, three habitat types corresponding to three groups of flies were identified. These were an urban habitat characterized by C. vicina, Lucilia illustris (Meigen) and L. sericata (Meigen), a rural grassland habitat, characterized by L. caesar (Linnaeus) and a rural woodland habitat characterized by Calliphora vomitoria (Linnaeus), Phaonia subventa (Harris), Neuroctena anilis (Falle´n) and Tephrochlamys flavipes (Zetterstedt). Intermediate species (L. ampullacea Villeneuve and P. pallida (Fabricius), located between the three habitats, were also found. Temporal abun- dance of the 10 most abundant species showed fluctuations between seasons, having low numbers of captured individuals during winter. Correspondence analysis showed clearly seasonal patterns at Box Hill site. The species–habitat associations suggest habitat differentiation between necrophagous guilds in this area and may be of ecological value.

Email: [email protected] ABSTRACT The Lonchaeidae fauna of Israel is reviewed, and three new species are de- scribed: Lonchaea longitarsis, Protearomyia hermonensis, and Silba israel. S. israel is recorded also from the Democratic Republic of Congo, and some specimens of S. adipata are recorded from countries adjacent to Israel. A key is provided to the six genera and twelve species currently known from Israel, and locality records and general distribution are provided for all the species. Figures of male and/or female terminalia are provided for all the species. KEY WORDS: Diptera, Lonchaeidae, Israel, new species, key. INTRODUCTION The Lonchaeidae are a small family of acalyptrate Diptera which forms part of the superfamily Tephritoidea. Some 500 species in nine genera are known worldwide and are found in a wide range of habitats from the Arctic Circle to the equator in all zoogeo- graphical regions. In Europe there are just over 100 described species in eight genera. They are moderately small in size (3–6 mm), stout-bodied and hairy flies with black halteres and, in most genera, with an entirely matte to entirely shiny black body color, in some species with slight metallic hue. Adults of the genus Lamprolonchaea Bezzi have a shining metallic blue-green body.

Jan Ševčík A b s t r a c t: This work summarizes data on 188 species of Diptera belonging to 26 families reared by the author from 189 species of macrofungi and myxomycetes collected in the Czech and Slovak Republics in the years 1998 – 2006. Most species recorded belong to the family Mycetophilidae (84 species), followed by the families Phoridae (16 spp.), Drosophilidae (12 spp.), Cecidomyiidae (11 spp.), Bolitophilidae (9 spp.), Muscidae (8 spp.) and Platypezidae (8 spp.). The other families were represented by less than 5 species. For each species a list of hitherto known fungus hosts in the Czech and Slovak Republic is given, including the previous literature records. A systematic list of host fungi with associated insect species is also provided. A new species of Phoridae, Megaselia sevciki Disney sp. n., reared from the fungus Bovista pusilla, is described. First record of host fungus is given for Discobola parvispinula (Alexander, 1947), Mycetophila morosa Winnertz, 1863 and Trichonta icenica Edwards, 1925. Two species of Mycetophilidae, Mycetophila estonica Kurina, 1992 and Exechia lundstroemi Landrock, 1923, are for the first time recorded from the Czech Republic and two species, Allodia (B.) czernyi (Landrock, 1912) and Exechia repanda Johannsen, 1912, from Slovakia.

Six of the nine extant tephritoid families have been found in Finland: no richardiid, ctenostylid or pyrgotid have been found in the country.
