(Received January 03, 2021; Revised May 22, 2021; Accepted May 29, 2021) Abstract: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the variations in the phytochemical compositions and the antimicrobial activities of Syzygium grande and Oenanthe javanica leaf extracts against Bacillus sp. The antibacterial activity of the methanol, 70% methanol, ethyl acetate, and hexane extracts of both plant species were examined in vitro, against various Bacillus species. In addition, the 1H Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (1H NMR) spectroscopy-based metabolomics was employed to gain insights into the correlations between the chemical constituents of the bioactive extract to the biological activity. The hexane extract of S. grande leaves and methanolic extract of O. javanica leaves showed more potent anti-Bacillus activity, among the test extracts. -

The study was carried out between April 2018 to February 2019. A total of 49 logged stumps were selected within the Akak forest spanning a period of 5 years and 20m x 20m transects were demarcated. All plants species <1cm and above were identified and recorded. Results revealed that a total of 5239 individuals from 71 families, 216 genera and 384species were identified in the study area. The maximum plants species was recorded in the year 2015 (376 species). The maximum number of species and regeneration potentials was found in the family Fabaceae, (99 species) and (31) respectively. Baphia nitida, Musanga cecropioides and Angylocalyx pynaertii were the most dominant plants specie in the years 2013, 2015 and 2017 respectively. The year 2017 depicts the highest Simpson diversity with value of (0.989) while the year 2015 show the highest Simpson dominance with value of (0.013). -

The scientific names of the families, genera, and species are arranged alphabetically. Vernacular names are also arranged alphabetically, starting with Setswana and followed by English. An ecological and taxonomical study had been made at western beach of Bangka island, December 2011. These study aimed to find out the vegetation structure of hill slope of secondary forest of Tanjunghaur beach, West Bangka district and inventarization of common flora at the beach, out of seven sampling units that were made as belt transect. Density, Frequency and Dominancy of four species of trees in the sampling units analyzed to find out the importance value. Some plants that growth around the beach were noted. Syzygium grande, is the dominant species at secondary forest of hill slope(IV = 66,31 % ), followed by Vitex pinnata( 29,87 %), Caryota mitis ( 2,55 %) and Morinda citrifolia( 1,07 %). Pandanus odoratissimus, Hibiscus sp, Scaveola sericea, Cerberra odollam, Dillenia suffruticosa, Rizophora sp, Scleria sp, Ipomoea pes-caprae,, Rodomytus tomentosa and Pempis acidula were the commonly plants that found at the beach. Introduction In their book titled ‘Ekologi Ekosistem Sumatera’ that was published in 1984, Anwar et al. said; There were never done an intensive research about Bangka and Belitung island vegetation yet.Heath forest as the characteristic of Bangka and Belitung vegetation, were refered to the information from Sarawak and Brunei Heath Forest. These is the important background, why we have to publish any information about Bangka vegetation. -

Wang1,2, G.Q. Li1, Q.L. Liu1, S.F. Chen1,2 Key words Abstract Plantation-grown Eucalyptus (Myrtaceae) and other trees residing in the Myrtales have been widely planted in southern China. These fungal pathogens include species of Cryphonectriaceae that are well-known to cause stem Eucalyptus and branch canker disease on Myrtales trees. During recent disease surveys in southern China, sporocarps with fungal pathogen typical characteristics of Cryphonectriaceae were observed on the surfaces of cankers on the stems and branches host jump of Myrtales trees. In this study, a total of 164 Cryphonectriaceae isolates were identified based on comparisons of Myrtaceae DNA sequences of the partial conserved nuclear large subunit (LSU) ribosomal DNA, internal transcribed spacer new taxa (ITS) regions including the 5.8S gene of the ribosomal DNA operon, two regions of the β-tubulin (tub2/tub1) gene, plantation forestry and the translation elongation factor 1-alpha (tef1) gene region, as well as their morphological characteristics. The results showed that eight species reside in four genera of Cryphonectriaceae occurring on the genera Eucalyptus, Melastoma (Melastomataceae), Psidium (Myrtaceae), Syzygium (Myrtaceae), and Terminalia (Combretaceae) in Myrtales. These fungal species include Chrysoporthe deuterocubensis, Celoporthe syzygii, Cel. eucalypti, Cel. guang dongensis, Cel. cerciana, a new genus and two new species, as well as one new species of Aurifilum. These new taxa are hereby described as Parvosmorbus gen. -

Technol., 2003, 25(1) : 103-113 Surveys on the natural plant communities on the sandbars along the eastern coast of the peninsular Thailand in three provinces, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Songkhla and Narathiwat, have been carried out. Most of the natural vegetation on these sandbars had been become extinct, except for some remnants, left as separated spots. Four sites of those remnants were explored in this preliminary study. The plant species com- position investigation and the primary analysis on community type through the Braun-Blanquet method of the four remnants show some common characters. These characteristics suggest that, in the past, the same vegetation may have dominated the landscape along the sandbars lying parallel to the seashore of Peninsular Thailand.
