The show featured Luke Jackson (guitar), Marshall Tully (guitar), Josh Hicks (drums) and Jason Eagan (bass) with special guests, such as Todd Porter on sax, and some guest vocalists. A packed club of Lizzy die-hards braved the insane Toronto tornado storm to come out to their tribute to Phil on his 60th birthday.” SONG NAME... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZ_3ZBh3wDE Johnny The Fox: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CaIoV9WxU4 Credit: Luke Jackson Radio West Midlands commemorate Philip’s birthday Local BBC radio station, Radio WM featured a number of interviews, Lizzy tracks and aired the full 26 minute “Phil Lynott at 60” documentary produced by the Birmingham Music Archive, narrated by Paul Murphy. Despite the worries of ill health, Philomena managed to attend "for a little while". Truth be known, she stayed for about two hours and it was good to see her relax a little and enjoy herself (with a little help from the 'holy water'). The 'gathering' at Bruxelles was never intended to be much more that a focal point for supporters who wanted to be in Dublin for Philip's 60th birthday. What transpired was something special. Keith Grogan and his friend John started what was to turn into an magical evening. Tony, Bat and the rest of Glyder were 'gently manoeuvred' into playing. Oh ok, alright, they were never going to be allowed to leave without doing a turn! Lasse joined then for a few tunes. Someone videoed it so keep an eye to You Tube! The guest turn of the night came from Julian Baldwin, a close friend of Philomena, who sang 'Wild One' following a rather hasty rehearsal somewhere in the bowels of Bruxelles :) Declan Kennedy who had played at the opening of the art exhibition at the Stephen's Green Gallery the previous Thursday, closed the musical proceedings in excellent fashion. Two hours previously, it looked like we would not have a lot by way of music but what happened was truly an inspired event.” Credit: Roddie Cleere Philomena & Julian Baldwin in Bruxelles. The artists on stage at Bruxelles Scott Gorham remembers... Scott Gorham on Philip's upcoming birthday: “Man, you don't realize how quick the years have gone until someone reminds you that Phil would have been 60 this year. He had such a huge impact on so many people around the world, I know he did with everyone that played in Thin Lizzy. To this day he is still missed by all of us." http://www.myspace.com/thinlizzynow Other features... It seems people are prepared to be thoughtful and civilised when promoting music they like as opposed to defending it.
